|
|
Its just been revealed that Mary is in fact, Edelweiss's daughter. It was somewhat strange, since it was pretty clear with the personality Mary had: Edelweiss's free spirit, added with Simon's stubborn streak. Was it just as obvious to everyone else as it had for me?
Edit: Upon my findings, for all intentions, its still not entirely revealed that Mary is related to Edel, but we are going to discuss this till such a time when more evidence piles up. _________________

This is hardly a revalation, Rune. Mary being Edelweiss' daughter has been a well known "fact" for years. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

might have been a well know fact to the inner circle but i didnt know, just figured they looked to much alike to not be related im pretty sure that was the intended purpose of drawing them the way she did _________________ Star Silver

Mary, Mary, Mary... Big surprise, she's Edelweiss' daughter. Let's move on.
Holy mother of flip! Edelweiss looks hot in that last panel! _________________

Wow, I didn't know that Edelweiss was Mary's mother. It wasn't all that obvious to me.
If anything, this makes the comic very complex as this adds a lot of questions about character backgrounds and such. For example, Simon's change of heart and such. Of course, this makes Betty and Mary's relationship even more complicated. |

I didn't know. I had suspicion but no proof. Now we had it. Anyway, Edelweiss has a point. If he throw her away but didn't raise a finger to help this little child, he show some rather twisted moral values. Also the first law must make the job of cops a real nightmare. You arrest someone but the first law allow him to stay silent and all the witness can be banned by the first law when they talk of the event.

I think there are certain exemptions made in cases like that so that the police can do their job. More than likely the witnesses are interviewed privately in front of a judge. _________________ My Fursona(updates occasionally) http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7537

I agree here. I'm keeping an open mind on the subject, Vanessa is a great artist and can either surprise us with the obviousness or something totally unexpected.
But I like the niece idea, Edelwise could be as well Mary mothers sister, that's another possibility, also another POV on why she's got hard feelings towards Simon. _________________ SYON!

You are right the niece possibility can't be ruled out but this doesn't improve the culpability's level on Simon case. He shows that he is still an guy with a justice ideal rather lacking. Ohh, and by the way, someone forgot to put the arrival of the new page in the update section. I seen it because I browse a lot on the forum but some could miss it if they simply look at the update page before to login (like I usualy do).
Il faut corriger ça.

Note the quotes on either side of that word, my dear Supreme Ruler of the Universe. Such marks are placed on words in times when said word should be taken less seriously than it would normally or when one word is being substituted for another. So, when I say "Edelweiss being Mary's mother has been a well known "fact" for years", what I am actually saying is "Edelweiss being Mary's mother has been a common and firmly held belief supported by guesswork and supposition with very little to no actual facts to support it." Besides, you're a member of the Bon Bon staff. Surely you would know better than any of us what the truth is. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

I Kind of guessed when Will said something like if Mary looked anything like Her dad she would be nothing special. and the only real mystery was Edelweiss _________________

I've been here for years now, yes, but not since the creation of the site. PBB was around for a year or two at least before I came. Labrn, Johnny and Dr. Fuchs were all members before I arrived, to name a few. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Indeed. Most of the Old Ones slumber now. Under the weight of endless eons, they sleep and dream. I am the sole one who stays wakeful from that ancient time. The others only briefly rouse from their contemplations of the Great Outside.
Young Gray is but a child to such as they and I, though I grant him knowledge of what lays beyond space and time so that he may use it to rouse my brethren once more. This may be why he seems slightly unhinged. It's a lot to take in.
Anyway, yes, that theory has been tossed around for years since Edelweiss was introduced. Those well versed in narrative tropes get pretty good instincts about these things. Sort of like how it'll be William who ends up with Mary rather than Red. Yes, we don't know it actually *will* happen, but we've seen enough romance stories to guess the basic outlines of the script. The Plot is with William. Save when the The Plot also demands that William be the subject of slapstick. _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

It seems only right. Bon Bon's beloved mad scientist should have a mad student. And I certainly could'nt ask for a better teacher. Besides that, I've always been attracted to older women. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Upon the understanding of what I have read, re-read, and read again, I find myself at a fault to what I have originally posted on the title (Which will be thoroughly renamed here shortly). To some degree, none of us can rule out the possibility that Edelweiss is Mary's mother (Like what happens to White and blue when mixed, you get a sky blue, hence Mary's fur color). Still, I was too abrupt in making my declaration and for that I am sorry. _________________

*Wakes up from his slumber once again* I think i'm still one of the few day 1 members still around. I still read the comic and play the games and such but when it comes to forum posting I know I am lazy. Getting back onto this subject here I have always had a feeling Mary had some kind of connection to Edelweiss but for Edelweiss to be Mary's mother no evidence has been shown yet but all I can say is that I am sure Vanessa will explain everything in future pages to this issue. |

Thanks. Though I am not sure what happened to the others if they still post here or not. I know I should of been posting more but things have been keeping me busy. Mostly my job and stuff are to blame. Also I am now curious as to what is going to happen now if anyone stumbles onto anything dealing with Simon Blue's shady past (Wouldn't surprise me if it was William/Wilson during his daily housework routine) and also Mary's response to Red's proposal. |
