Dear fans of Scarlett, I have to give you some kinda sad news: Giulia, Scarlett's artist, has stopped drawing Scarlett since she's busy 12 hours a day for her new job.
A wonderful job that finally gives her also economical sustenance that comics in italy, sadly, don't give to anyone.
In our country the comic artists have few rights and few commissions, so they must by force take a second job to live. I myself had to work in a clothes store as a sales clerk in the period in which PBB was published on Vixine, but thanks to PBB's official site now I can fully take care of the comic.
But Giulia has decided to choose a job with better guarrantees for her future, and she did the right thing. Now she works as a baker in an international sweet shop and she bakes cakes, pies and cupcakes all day long; I'm really happy for her that now is serene and does a job she likes.
What will be of Scarlett's comic
I've spoken with M-Lock, and he'll draw issue #3 of Scarlett, but I'm afraid that I'll have to finish issue #2 myself , since I got the hand most similar to Giulia's, and I'd like for the whole issue to be omogeneous.
It must still be decided, though, WHEN to do it, since as you can see I can only draw a page per week.
So I'm gonna propose you this :
would you like to read, starting from issue #8 of PBB, a page of PBB and a page of Scarlett alternated?
You'd get a page per week anyway and two ongoing comics, all drawn and colored by me.
Issue #2 of Scarlett is almost done, there are only a few pages, say 3 or 4, missing, so this method would only take two or three months, tops.
Let me know...
Personally I'd like to finish Scarlett as soon as possible so M-Lock will be able to start issue #3, else everything will come to a halt until... dunno??
Until we'll be able to find a new artist like Giulia
Mmmmh... _________________

Hmm, I've had to cancel my subscription for now, so I don't know if my opinion matters in regards to something like this.
But I'll have to say that I think you should be careful you don't let people wait too long on Issue #8. The reason for this is that I believe that it is the main comic that makes the majority of people join PBB. If the Scarlett pages all follow after the Zone comic, there's going to be a long wait for Issue #8, and some might get impatient. The last thing I want to see is for you to start losing members, Vanessa.
I think that I'd vote for alternating between the two comics. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

I am happy Guilia has been able to find a job that can support her better, though sad she's chosen to give up her drawing. Maybe she could still draw in her spare time, if she can find any and the energy to go with it, so she won't have to give it up completely. No one should ever have to give up their passion, no matter the circumstances. In any event, I say to go ahead and finish up the Scarlett comic in progress, since that's what you want to do, Vanessa. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

I agree with Sympohony, the wait between the chapters while the mini-comic is being released is large and adding more to that time may very well have an undesired effect on fans. i'd go with alternating. _________________

If you ask me i think the term, "Stuck between a rock and a hard place." Comes into play. So pick wich one you want to do and go with it Vanessa. _________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. that's why it is called the present.

I wouldn't be against alternating, gives more content to discuss by allowing speculation on multiple storylines. _________________ Most have only two choices in life, a life of happiness, or a life of meaning. There is more to PBB than just sex, there's an actual story and community here that I think is what keeps people here. Though, I admit I'd be a hypocrite if it wasn't base urges that drew me here at first, but the story and community is what made me stay and be glad to pay to help support Vanessa to keep the story going. _________________ Most have only two choices in life, a life of happiness, or a life of meaning. I was joking Gantros. besides, considering the length of the sex scenes in the comic one could easily speculate on them too.
"I say she'll use the green one."
"Nah, she likes the blue one better."
"But she uses the blue one all the time, she hasn't used the green one for ages."
"You two are nuts, she wants to use the new purple one."
see? it works _________________

OH THE HUMANITY OF IT ALL!!!
Anyway. Seriously...it's sad to see her go, but I wish her luck and congrats on her new job.
For now I wouldn't mind alternating pages as well. Until you guys find a suitable replacement. |

I think Gantros and Symphony hit the nail on the head there.
The primary reasons most people are drawn to the site (or so I'm assuming) are the quality and content of the artwork and the little voice in their pants. Given that, I would vote for alternating between the comics or even doing only one Scarlet page per month, if necessary. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Giulia did a remarkable job with Scarlett and it will be sad to see her leave. But,life must go on as it were. While I really like the comic and I would hate to see it go away, given the options you have Vanessa I would understand if it did.Hopefully, something can be worked out to keep the adventures of Ms.Blutt coming. |

This sounds awkward... Though it sounds like you already have something planned, Vanessa. Hope everything is working out.
If there's still a choice, I'll admit to really preferring the main comic to Scarlett. Not much of a fan of that pain and pleasure mix and I find the travails in town more fun. _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

There are news about issue #2 of Scarlett. Giulia managed with her last efforts to draw three pages, but she won't be able to color them, while the last two pages have been given to the care of Jen T. Leman, who drew for PBB a few pinups that you've had the chance to see. But he can't color them either. The coloring of the bases is entrusted to Marco, but I'll have to do the shadows and textures.
I proposed you to alternate a page of PBB and one of Scarlett in order to let me take care of both. But since half of the work (pencil, inks and bases) has already been done I only have to do the rest, coloring and lettering, so I won't need a whole week but rather three days to complete each page.
Consequently the second proposal that I'm making you is to alternate one page of PBB and no less than two pages of Scarlett per week! This way you'd get three comic updates in two weeks, not counting raccoon business and Scarlett Halloween tales! Therefore it'd be really a lot of reading material, many updates! Furthermore we have the gorgeous Illusion that Karine resumed drawing and also the nice contributes of Greycat.
So, what do you think? Do we want to conclude issue #2 of Scarlett?
With two pagesper week it will take really little time! _________________

my opinion probably doesnt matter much, but i know from experience that if you take your time to get something done, then the rewards are even better than if you were to hurry up and finish. my 10th grade teacher always told me "slow is steady and steady is fast. if you take your time and do something with precision, then your final product might be better than you expected, more or less."
i know that the reason i joined is for the main story. i like reading the other comics as much as the next person, but my vote would be for the next issue of the main comic to be finished first and foremost. _________________ my fursona http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9199

WHOOO!!! That is amazing news.
I'm absolutely fine with alternating between the main comic and Scarlett, it would create a bit of a bigger build up as to what's going to happen in the main comic. As for coming out with two Scarlett pages in one week? I agree with Mackwell and Choas take your time, we're a patient lot. And I'm sure that the main subscribers who aren't here on the forums wouldn't mind too much. _________________ Alain Daishar Profile: http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8174&highlight= |
