Expected Royal Avatar Times.

Just as a question so that not only will it help me a little bit, but for future candidates for royal avatars as well. To those who do have them, could you care to share the time period that you had to wait following your six months of joining? I'm pretty curious to know, since the mystery gives me something to look forward to. I'm sure it would probably take a few months, but it would help if there was something that could help clarify my theory.

Unfortunately that question might be a little more difficult to answer that you believe. Bear in mind that as more people join the website and the forum, the length of time it will take to get ones avater will increase so those of us who joined earlier didn't have as long a wait. With people joining more frequently, even if only a few from each new influx stick around long enough to meet the requirements for recieving an avatar, it will take noticebly longer for each new batch of members. Ms. Santato has to focus on the comic primarily, then on the other features like the strip-tease theater and the games. The membership avatars are more of a tertiary priority. That's excluding everything else in her life she needs to take care of, like buying groceries and paying bills.

Well, Rune, I can tell you this. I became a Royal in June. And I still dont think Im next in line, so... yeah. Between all the aspects of the site that Vanessa has to manage, it could be a few months before she can swing it. However, everytime I see an avatar drawn it lets me know the wait is worth it.

I don't know how long it takes for the average member to get an avatar drawn. I got mine after nearly ten months. I think that the first six months, and especially the very first month, seemed like the longest. I did still think about my avatar and when I might get it after that point, but it didn't seem so bad to me.

I became a Loyal member on march...something.

I received my avatar on April 28, 2009 (I went to the Update page and checked. :3)

So...I waited seven month, becoming a Royal member. :3

Not to long for me, but I would not mind the waiting longer. I'll just focus on having fun chatting fun with you guys, reading comics, checking out pin ups and playing games. :3

Ms. Vanessa's art work is always worth the wait. ^w^

How about this, when Samuel pops up in the Four Aces Suite, you'll know you're not far behind.

There would be an idea, but not sure it would be well-accepted. At this point, it seems the waiting list is going to be growing exponentially. Although the avatars are a secondary concern, being in-between main comic storylines may not be that bad of a time to catch up. Although it would delay the start of the next comic a bit, it would help control a back-log of avatar requests. I'd shudder to think if it would take over a year before getting the avatar drawn.

Not a whole year after the royal membership mark, I hope. Although I have seen some people that were well past that point before posting that part.

That reminds me, I think I should clarify that I meant having to wait a year after being eligible for the avatar.

Another clarifying point to those newer members that may not have know, although I joined the forums in August 2008, I have not been an active/paying member that whole time.

Lidia, I think Xivk was asking if there's a list giving the order in which the avatars will be made. The current thread only has a list of everyone who has posted a description and does not necessarily provide a list of who is next up to be made.

I really think it would help to have a list with who's scheduled to be made next. As it stands, the requirements are a touch fuzzy and there could be anywhere from 5-12 people ahead of me.

There isn't one where you might see who is next for an avatar. You can see who have been cleared for an avatar by Ronald, but whether that says anything about who is next, I really don't know.

I honestly hope not. The one who is next, if we look at the time of the posts, is EmperorRevan, but he hasn't posted since January. So he clearly doesn't live up to the requirement for being active in the forums. I also think it would be a shame for Vanessa to work on an avatar for a member who isn't even here to appreciate it, especially while there are several who have been members for more than six months, and who are still active.

Just before the ball, Vanessa seemed to concentrate on making a number of Royal Members. Since then, the pace of how many avatars get done each year has seemed to wane.

From what I can gather, the list for avatar creation is generated through subscription confirmation. This means that an avatar isn't on the list to be made until the subscription requirement is confirmed with Ronald.

Chaos, when you got the confirmation, did Ronald ask for your username, so he could post that you'd been cleared?

I also added forum activity and posted in order of membership dates. I wasn't sure about Tadelesh and Feingo Ferinton, hence the question marks. Either way, it has been awhile since I've seen either one, so I went with inactive. I still don't know whether or not forum activity plays a role in who gets made first, though.

CCBILL, the intermidiary we go through to pay for membership gives you a subscription number. This number tells Ronald exactly how long and how many times you've been a paying member.
