Now looking down directly a Henk, and felt the snake's touch against him "Oh... I am so sorry Henk, should I be leaving now, instead of spending the night so I won't put you in more mortal danger..?" Jasper just looked at him with the most soft, caring eyes. "You dont want want to protect me Henk, I don't think I'm really worth the effort." Then Jasper got up from the table, looked around with a hollow if not depressed look on his face, then grabbed his things, including a box containing an easel, and his larger sketch pad, and headed up the stairs to one of the upstairs rooms. Once he got there, he put to box just inside the room and sat on the bed and began to cry so softly. "why..? *sniff* Why am I so stupid..!" He then lays on the bed silently, looking at the room he had picked. It was small, and quaint like the bed he had at his manor, and it was dark blue.

Henk looked back at Jasper, the orange cat took, crying, his belongings up stairs to one of the guest rooms. Henk got up from the table and dragged himself to the stairs.

Henk turned back at Apachi, Scorpia and James "Jasper was the first man I kissed. I have to go to him."

The stairs where just like a mountain for him. When he was up the stairs Henk walked to the room where he heard some one crying. Henk opened the door and closed it.

Jasper was lost in his own thoughts that he didn't noticed Henk. Henk sit on the bed and placed his hand on the shoulder of Jasper.

"He, Jasper. Please look at me and tell me what do see?" Henk spoke softly, pushed Jasper so that he had to look at him, before Japser could answer Henk pulled him against him and hugged the handsome cat.

Henk kissed the left ear of Japser. His hands where moving over his back, Jasper had still his clothes and shoes on! "Oh, Jasper you are worth to be protected by me. I missed you!"

mecht blushed at hearing that "i shall retire too i guess" he said bowing to everyone who was left and heading upstairs with his pack. mecht choose a simple room near the end of the hall and began to set his jewelcrafting materials on the floor.

first he put down a roll of velvet then began to put various bits of silver and gold down on it followed by copper wire and finally a selection of rare gems.

Jasper just looked at Henk with gentle eyes, wiping his eyes clear of tears. "When you told me to come... You didn't tell me when... Also, you're badly hurt, dont waste your energy on such a *sniff* reserved, feline." He turned to Henk, and embraced him gently and held the snake in his arms. "You've seemed to make so many friends... Aren't I just another pretty vistor, blowing through Bon Bon..? I came on a whim." He then got his handkerchief out (silk mind you), and cleaned his now dust covered glasses.

Henk smiled to Jasper. That he was pretty was a fact, but that Jasper would come and go into bonbon? No, Jasper needed a place to start a new life, just like himself and all of his friends. Jasper would fit right in his group of friends.

"You are a good friend, like the others. You are here now and that all that matters. Please stay, I I I don't want you to go. " Henk whispered the last words. Then he pushed Japser back and started to remove Jaspers shoes.

Then the buttons of his jack came, but then Henk stopped. He leaned forward, just a few centimeters of Jasper. " Euh, Jasper I will only will continue if you want to?" Henk just wanted a kiss ass permission, just a kiss and he and Jasper would made love.

Jasper looking right into Henk's eyes he flit a shiver go through his body then kissed him on the lips then held a finger against them after he leaned back. "Henk, I want to... but not right now, you need your rest, heck everyone does, and also... Im so embarrased, about how little I know about making love at all.. But we can possibly later tonight, you naughty naga. I'm sorry that we can't just yet... For me it has been a long day" Jasper then got up and helped his injured friend. He buttoned his shirt and vest, then helped him back down the stairs to everyone. "Sorry all, I just tend to be really emotional, and tend to have meltdowns." Hen then lets Henk sit down, and he sits next to him and pets his hands so gently. Jasper begins to lean back and think to himself Now, I wonder, if there is anywhere in this mansion, that I can get a good view to draw the sunrise or even just a have a good view of the town itself..

Sitting in the couch, while Jasper was petting his hands, he was happy and safe. Henk looked to the cat, Henk had only eye for his ears, his eyes, his nose, his lips.

Henk gave a big sigh, Jasper got a place in his heart, that was for sure. Henk moved his tail to the tail of the cat. Henk begins to pet the tail of Jasper.

Then some one asked Henk, but he had only his attention at Jasper. But the second time he react. "uehe, yeah, yes what do you say?"

Jasper's ears twitched hearing Miss Scorpia begin to speak. He got up from next of Henk waited till Mecht was finished. Then he approached the woman, and said with an uneasy, but sure tone in his voice. "Hello, my name is Jasper Caldwell. I am an artist as well, but right now I traveled to Bon Bon on a whim. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. If you'd like, I can leave the premise as soon as you want, or stay longer. Miss, Apricot has given us, a blessing to rest in teh guest rooms upstairs. Im glad you're feeling better."

(Earlier that morning)

A massive explosion rocked the hillside as a column of smoke shot fifty feet into the air. Ernest stood unflinching, his red-tinted goggles sheilded his eyes from the acrid haze and blackened clouds that erupted from the mine shaft like demon's breath. His fellow miners had hidden themselves behind sand bags in an attempt at avoiding the debris. The blast-rat didn't follow suit, nor did he care.

'A lot of people think Ernest is crazy...' A mole digger crouching nearby thought to himself. 'He was just born in the wrong century. He'd be right at home on some battlefield lobbing rocks from a catapult.'

A large chunk of the hillside gave way from the blast and tumbled downward, carrying a metallic box along with it. The foreman snatched the relic from the ground and wrenched open the rusty lid.

His eyes widened at the sight of a rolled up canvas. A painting of some antiquity looked back at him from within.

'This thing could be worth a fortune!' The greedy bulldog pondered. 'Mr. Blue will demand to know what we found though...'

"Living, get yer carcass in my office, NOW!" The foreman concealed his prize in his coat.

Ernest wiped the dust from his brow and grumbled under his breath. He and the mine bosses were never on good terms, regardless of his excessive wages. Any meeting with one of them was automatically a pain by his account.

Closing the office door behind him, Ernest removed his cap and shot a suspicious glance at the overseer.

"Whaddya want?" The rat grumbled.

"We both know the REAL reason yer here." The bulldog didn't waste any time. "I heard about them Brits and what they wanted to do to you."

"So wut's yer point?" Ernest's sense of distrust perked up.

"I want you to do me a favor." The foreman smirked.

"Cut the gab, whaddya want from me?" The rat stared him in the eye.

"It's simple..." The overseer pulled the painting from his coat. "There's an artist in Bon Bon, have her make a copy of this fer me."

"Since when do you care fer art?" Living bristled up.

"Since none of yer damn business!" The dog shoved the canvas into Ernest's hands. "I'll give you a nice bonus fer yer trouble."

"Wot's the catch?" Ernest shot him a look of doubt.

"Ya keep yer mouth shut and don't tell NOBODY!" The foreman glared. "This is just tween you and me. You don't talk and neither will I!"

"Ya mean you'd actually sell me to them Englishmen?!" The rat scowled.

"Only if yer stupid and blab about this!" The overseer jabbed him in the chest. "Now git, and take yer time. Bon Bon is one helluva town, you'll luv it!"

Ernest slammed the door behind him and marched out of camp.

'That crook is up to no good' Living stared at the rolled up parchment. 'I could use the money though'

The painting showed the interior of some ancient and majestic building. The intricate carvings and mosaics indicated a highly artistic architecture. Ernest had never seen anything like it.

Shrugging his shoulders, he began his journey to town.

(Back to the Present)

Ernest approached the stately manor of the famed artist. The sheer elegance of the place was almost intimidating.

'It's amazing what brushes and paint can get ya these days.' The dirt-rat mused to himself.

Swallowing hard from nervousness, the rat approached and knocked at the door.

Henk heard the knocking at the door and since Apachi was sleeping, Scorpia in discusion with Japser and Mecht, Lidia and Crimosn in the garden, he had to open the door.

After 5 minutes Henk opened the door and saw a rat, the rat had some dirt on his paws, just like he came from his work. He had a package under his right arm.

Henk was on alert, they had only 2 hours of peace and now already some one else wanted to deliver some problems?!? Let hear what he wants, thought Henk.

"Good day sir, who are you? What do you want? And do you have a appointment?"

The door to the manor flew open and a dangerous looking serpent man peered out and fired off several quick questions. Ernest felt an air of open hostility right away.

"I was just lookin' for the artist, sir." The rat removed his hat. "If'n I came at a bad time, I can try another day."

'Maybe this was the wrong house.' Ernest shifted nervously.

Then she heard knocking on the door and saw Henk getting the door. She could hear him talking to someone.
"Who is it Henk?" Scorpia yelled.

Then he heard Scorpia, asking who it was at the door. "A strange rat, mistress Scorpia, why he is here and who he is I don't know. "

Henk turned now back to the rat. "Sir answer my other question or go, every one can come here and is welcome if they are allowed."

The rat unrolled the canvas and displayed the painting for the doorman.

"I needs to get this duplicated, if'n I may." Living stated calmly. "It's kinda old, so I don't want to display the real one."

The rat may not know art, but he was smart enough to put two and two together. Come to think of it, the snake-fellow looked out of sorts.

"Say, friend, ya look a tad haggard." Ernest noted. "Did somethin' bad happen around here?"

Henk shows his fist and lift his finger, one at the time "1; few days ago I had to killed more than 50 criminals who wanted to enslave me and my friends,2 we lost our memory and can just back under the blood and wounded and 3 I just met a very attractive person that I wanna kiss, hug, massage and make love until the end of time. So yeah, but that is not a reason to let someone stand out side the mansion. SO COME IN AND BEHAVE OR I EAT YOU ALIVE!"

Henk grasps the rat and pulls him inside the mansion. Henk walks with him to the living room where Scorpia is sitting with Jasper and Mecht next to her.

"Mistress, Mecht, lovely Jasper, this person want to have a copy of a old painting. It looks very valuable."

Scorpia sat up in the couch, finally feeling well again, and waited for the stranger to enter the room.
Before Henk was able to slip away she called him over to her and whispered in his ear: "I could hear you yell at him. I will not tolerate you speaking like that to people who has not treaten you. Right now I won't punish you because you are injured, but next time I will not be so forgiving. Do I make my self clear?"

Tries not to chuckle, but cant help to, when he sees Henk's face turn beat red. "Oh Miss Scorpia, I have a question about this place once you are done. Is there anywhere specific that I can get a good view of most of Bon Bon, or even somewhere that captures the sunrise..? It's just that I really enjoy drawing the beauty of nature." He then pushes his glasses more toward his face and begins writing in his pocket journal.

Henk face turns red of shame, he was still to injured, physical and mental. He didn't know that he was to aggressive to the rat. Before taking his place by Jasper he turned back to Ernest goes to he knees and hugs the rat, who is stunned by it.

"I'm sorry, master can I make it up to you by giving you some entertainment tonight with all the others?" Henk then goes back to Jasper, lays in the couch and kisses the paw of Jasper and whispers in his ear.

"If I offended you, I can give you some personal entertainment, Master?" Henk kissed the ear of Jasper and nibbles on it.

Jasper blushes very darkly and lets out a soft whimper, shaking he closes his journal and kisses henk's cheek softly. "H-Henk... I thought you were still injured..?"

Ernest had no sooner responded, only to find himself being yanked inside by the powerful snake-man.

Now standing in a room full of people, the rat had to take a second to recollect himself. A female voice chided the doorman for his terse behavior and the snake suddenly hugged the digger in apology.

"Uh... tis nuthin', friend serpent." Ernest patted his back awkwardly. "Can't help bein' suspicious of an ol', dirty rat."

The snake quickly retreated to a nearby couch, revealing the rest of the rooms occupants. A slew of other well-dressed gentlemen stood by, were they all guests?

Then he saw her...

The blue vixen who addressed the snake, the artist, sat facing him. Ernest's jaw dropped and his resolve crumbled. She was gorgeous. His face turned red and his hands began to fumble, along with his words.

"Hullo Miss... uh... Ma'am, that is... uh..." The rat fidgeted under her pretty stare.

Living dropped his hat by accident and as he bent over to retrieve it, several stray florins rolled from his pocket and raced along the floor.

"Oh my..." The poor rat was flabberghasted.

Standing up straight, Ernest took a deep breath and stated his intentions.

"I was hopin', Miss artist, that you could make a duplicate o' this painting." The rat tried to stay together. "I can pay and what I can't afford, I'll work off."

'Why am I offerin' ta work?' Ernest was surprised by his own statement. 'That bulldog ain't worth that!'

Another look at the vixen answered the question.

'With those pretty eyes...' Ernest sighed. 'She could talk me into swimmin' a river.'

Living unrolled the canvas and showed it to the pretty lady.

(It's okay, Henk, you make a convincing bodyguard. )

Henk wishpers back "Hmm, I will give you a show, then you go on top of the 2 mountains and will climb them, slowly and steady. " Henk gives Jasper a kiss, then his tongues goes deep in the cats mouth. Henk let his tongue dance with the tongue of Jaspers.

Henk lays in the chair, he pulls Japser on his chest, still he continues kissing him. "Hmm, MPH, oooh metal gods, I never kissed a male who could kiss that good. Please stay Jasper, you all ready had choicen the room of me and Apachi." Henk smiles to the shocked cat.

"Yeah, you choose the room that I and Apachi have to share, if we are not allowed to sleep in mistress bed room and we are not punished." Henk then laughs "I can remember once, that I really was eeuuuh a bad slave, mistress tied me up and put some coke rings on me and left me to hang there for the hole night and morning. I will never be that bad again. If you want master Jasper, you can punish me with mistress Scorpia and tease until I'm a good slave for you?" he kisses the cat deep and moans in his mouth.
