Why!? Hmm might as well tell you all why i decided to quit even though i put in so much work on Dain and Barbearia. Also Aaron when people quit a rp it is for a reason. Now then lets see where to start... Ah yes how about this is suppose to be a group rp? Come on guys, it isn't a group unless you talk to one another. This 'i sent you a note on FA' thing is fine but give every one else a clue as to what you are doing. Come on half the time i was worried i was going to knock someone's post off becouse i had no clue what everyone else had planned. To me it is extreamly rude to but in but how you all got things set up it is the only way to become apart of anything.
Witch brings me to my next point. From what i get of the rp it isn't a group at all. It is just a band that is helping the all mighty Stratuss, not that he even needs it. I mean come on what happened to the no god like chars? He dosn't bend that rule he flat out breaks it. He is all powerfull and can do no wrong. He kills a womans personal guards right infront of her, fights her, and kidnaps her. Then she offers herself to him and then falls in love with him!? Come on, that is just a cop out of a char. Then he joins the group. No one says a thing about it becouse he is so powerfull and yet has killed more than Philip will the entire rp. Every flocks to do stuff with him that he is now the focus of the rp. (Along that note i do give props to Hoshi for going with Caroline insted. And props to Caroline for what she is doing to him.) He is all powerfull and yet plans to make him even stronger. If you ask me it isn't about the group defeating Philip but the all mighty Stratus. The only reason he lost to him the first time is that it was scripted. You all might think my char is over powered but here is a little something, He will die by his 25 birthday becouse his bodey can't handle the streass any longer. But now that i quit the rp he won't even survive that long. After about a week they will have gotten past the wall and to the capitol where he is and he will die trying to protect his love.
I leave and yet the only thing you all are worried about is someone takeing a empty seat? You still got two guys that haven't even joined up with the group yet. Also to all who think i'm doing this just to get spot light, that is the whole reason i quit. So you know i'm not. Also if you guys don't change more poeple will quit, that is a garentee. You all tend to forget the last person in line has to deal with what happens before him.
So if anyone has anything to say about what i said go right on head. Lets get all this settled or if you want ingore it.

well i only said that abotu adept because its not like you even talked to any of us about it ...when we want to set up posts with other people we have to message them and visa versa and this rp isnt all about strauss ..hell the only reason i didnt have Aline kill him outright is so wolf can keep rping with us i personally think Aline is the most powerful in the group every one else has to seek outside sources to amplify their powers where are all Aline will have to do is let her self lose and she is stronger then them ...but hey if your gonna focus on the fact that Wolf gets alot of attention then this wasnt the rp for you any way dro you could have tried harder to step out into the lime light so to speak instead of hiding in the corner and not talking to any one else why didnt you try to script a post with me that would have gotten you attention

And do what Hoshi? After i joined the group all i got was "Who are you?" And then nothing. True i did hate being egnore but when your last to reply and don't got a clue what anyone has planned it is hard to interact with everyone. Heck the only reason i did go back and go with other chars of mine was becouse i had no idea if i was going to interupt with any becouse no one talks. How am i suppose to know when someone is doing something or not.

you never even noted the passing of the other charcters ...like when Aline threw that big fit across the deck of the ship no one even mentioned seeing it in their posts and some times its better to have a monkey wrench thrown into ones plans it stirs things up you were so afraid of messing other peoples posts up maybe you should have just done it for the heck of it ...me for example i never keep future plans cause every one elses posts are what help me come up with things and when their posts are either based away from my character or chaoaticly throw my character around it just makes it easier for me to come up with something ...its when im left completly alone that i cant come up with any thing ...and im sorry if you feel you were ignored ...but i would be too if i hadnt shoved my self into the plans of the other rpers

. . . Really? Butting my head in other people's plans is your reply? You have any idea how rude and incosiderite that sounded? When people take the time to do something and then someone butts into it, it makes alot of friction. I have seen a meny of rp's die becouse of that or the person that butted in gets kicked. So let me get this right, You let them use your char for their ideas so you could come up with something?

your twisting my words
....what i was trying to say about that was you make your self part of the action by getting closer in the relative space or the rp ...like say my post Aline was just sitting there in the crew quarters area of the ship you could have had your character come near her and try to talk to her that would have been adding your self to my plans ....then i would be like oh hey i have something to do i can talk to this character ;....but i didn't even know you wanted attention cause you were always off in a corner with your little npc posse
...its not like your gonna stay right so there's no real reason to talk about this any more

background: Kyle doesn't quite remember where he was born his earliest memories where when he was enrolled at a private academy in lurdian. there he learned how to duel quickly taking up jousting and becoming a prodigy with rapiers as well as the thinner more agile blades. When kyle came of age he was recruited by the devas for his skills and had him on escort missions threw any territories and was the most requested solider for secret or high profile escorts mission threw deamon territory's. when kyle turned 21. he had saved one of the higher ranking devas who blessed him with a rapier that had a platinum blade and a golden handle it left a light trail of the path it followed. Kyle was told the sword would never break and he could block attacks with even the heaviest of weapons with worrying about it breaking. It was a sign of heroism to receive such a gift from a true deva
His armor being duelist armor was thin plate male with proper breaks in the armor to remain just as fast and agile as if he wearer in leather or cloth armor. it make little to no noise while he moves so he can where light loose fitting cloth or a robe over it. and Nobody would know the wiser. Removing the armor is surprisingly easy and the same goes for putting it on just a few latches on the breast plate keeps the entire armor together. Unlatching them and the entire piece comes off with ease
being a half deva (mother was a full deva with the wings father was mortal)he had wings that he much prefers to keep wrapped around him like a cloak and it was used like one , the color of his wings grew lighter near the tips starting out as silver as his fur to a pure white at the tips.
Personality wise kyle comes off abit cocky at times though its only because of his abilities. He really is a loyal sweet loving person who when in combat flips a switch to a cold calculating duelist that he can be when the time calls for it

 no need to jump down peoples throat. Struass is tough, thats a given. But as stated no one here can beat Philip. Wolf contacted me first. He came up with an idea on his first encounter and I approved it. The big fight scene I came up with but I sent comments to everyone to see what they thought.
Every so often we step on peoples toes. If someone has a problem we then communicate back and forth either here or note each other on FA and work something out. That way there's no hard feelings and we move on.
I'm truly sorry to see you leave Dro. I really liked your character and I thought he made an excellent addition to the group.

Well... it's your choice to stay or go. Since you asked, here are some of my thoughts.
While I have ideas of what I want to do, I often don't even bother starting to write my post until it becomes my turn. Why? Because other players can come out of left field and do something that is totally unexpected. Shoot, my own idea of my character I might decide to adjust instead. And, that's one of the problems with multi-player groups. Shoot, I've been in pen-and-paper role-play groups where I was sitting across from someone at the table and felt a spot left out. It happens that way sometimes. The camera or events will focus on one character, and, eventually, move onto another character. The same happens in TV shows, movies, stories, video games, and the like. For example, I just watched an episode of Justice League Unlimited, where it focused on just the Flash, Batman, and Orion. The camera only has so wide a shot it can take... and so, at some point, the camera has to lose focus on one thing to gain focus on another.
Part of that issue is our own problems.
With the last few posts being the exception, practically every post before that was just about one character. No pairs.... no groups... no teams. Just the one character, doing the one character thing. Myself included. After getting the missive from Aaron_Thom about his initial meeting with Philip, I realized what we were doing... and decided to try to not-so-subtley start weaving some of the threads together. Hoshi and WolfStride agreed to my story suggestions, and so now the three of them are sort-of together. I haven't been terribly successful, but I'm trying to group up some of the characters together. And, Aline's right.
Yes, it is bold and daring to barge into someone else's idea. However, story writing, such as this, sometimes is limited to having to force things together that way. Only Strauss and HexPoint have any background together, so you're left with 8 characters, all of whom don't know the others, and the quesiton of how to get them all in front of the camera. And, I was... scolded one time when I used a character without getting express, written, permission first. Sometimes that will happen. However, just as often, you'll actually inspire the other player with your action, and give them a new idea to work from.
So... some of my thoughts, for what they're worth. I was suprized to see you jump ship; however, it's your choice. I only logged on today to see if WolfStride had answered a question. Anyway, I would have heired the grieveance before leaving... so... as far as I'm concerned, you're not gone yet. )) |

hey Caroline i was meaning to tell you ...your character should bring the subject of her clothes to Aline ...she could fix them if they are made of natural fibers ....her create ability she could even make more for Caroline ...but you would have to ask her

Hell, no I don't mind. Like I said, your ideas are ToA lore forever, and we fought Big Bad together. I honestly thought you were just keeping to yourself like I did up until the last few posts. i want ten player any way ...i think its more even then 9 IMHO ...i dont want dro to leave but i dont want Adept to not join up either
