(As of this writing, yesterday was my birthday. So, I thought I throw a little RP to celebrate and have a little fun.)
The morning sun rose above the town of Bon Bon, illuminating the snow-covered rooftops and streets. In the Gilded Pen, Leaf was fixing his wooden stove to bring warmth to his apartment. Still wearing his green striped pajamas, his eyes glanced up at a calender hanging upon the nearby wall with a small smile on his face.
You see, this was not an average day for the young buck. As it so happens, it was his birthday today. "Another year has gone by," he thought to himself. Memories flashed in his mind, some of which made him chuckle. "Maybe I'll keep the store closed today and treat myself."

Leaf finished fixing the fire within the wood stove and proceeded to get himself ready for the day.He walked over to his dresser and took out a blue vest and dress pants with a white button-up shirt. After getting dressed, the rabbit walked downstairs to his bookstore and headed towards the display window. He placed a "CLOSED" sign up and grabbed his gray winter coat off the coat rack. He opened the shop door and strolled out into the streets
Leaf walked up the street into an intersection. As he was contemplatingon which way to go, he spotted Rhoda wandering about. From the way she looked at the different buildings and signs, she was searching for something. The rabbit walked up behind her at a nearby lamppost.
"Hello, Rhoda," he said to her. "Do you need help finding something?"

"Oh, hello Leaf. Nice to see you again." Rhoda greeted the rabbit with a smile before looking at some of the shop signs "Yes, I was told that there is a book shop in town. You wouldn't happen to know where it is would you?" she asked hoping he would know.

Leaf returned her smile, walking beside her as he led her back to his bookstore. As the two were heading down the street, the rabbit took some time to check out Rhoda. His steps were slowing as he couldn't help but admire at the mountain lion's beauty. Her golden hair reminded him of fields of wheat waving gently in the countryside breeze. He could feel his face getting warm as his eyes took in her curvaceous figure, coming to rest upon her ample bust.
"Stop that," he chided to himself in his mind. "You're supposed to be a gentleman, not some drooling heathen." He quickly averted his eyes, finding them at his own bookstore.
"Ah, here we are. Now just let me open up here and..."
He spotted another gentleman standing in front of the door with his hands behind his back.
"Excuse me, sir? Is there something I can help you with?"

Rhoda notcied Leaf walking slower but paid no mind to it as she absentmindedly leaned slightly against the kind rabbit. They walked up to the shop and the lioness noticed a familiar wolf. She just rolled her eyes.

Leaf noticed the wolf didn't show signs of listening to him. The rabbit shook it off and reluctantly let go of Rhoda's hand to take a key out of his pocket. He unlocked the door and led her inside.
"Here it is... It's not much, but I'll do whatever I can to help you. Is there anything in particular you'd like?"

he had been out of town for a very long time and had only jusy renctly got back

Slowly walking up to the bookstore, Alex wondered if it would have the book he searched for.
"Sigh. Of all the books I had to of not had in my shop..." He grumbled to himself as he walked in the store.

Leaf was about to search some books for Rhoda when he heard someone calling out to him from the doorway. He looked up and saw his friend Link stooping below the door frame and entering his bookstore.
"Hey, Link!" The rabbit said with a grin on his face. "Not much is going on. Just planning on what to do for my birthday today."
He went to a bookshelf to search for some Shakespeare books. He scanned across each spine of the books before pulling out several of the tomes and placing them on a nearby table. He turned around to talk to Rhoda when he spotted the wolf from outside and a panther he never seen before.
"Oh, hello gentlemen! How can I be of assistance?"

"Hm... Something with Edgar Allen Poe? Just a moment."
He quickly rushed to another part of his store. His knowledge of the shop's layout enabled him to find the correct bookshelf for the works of Poe. He scanned the shelf and found the book he was looking for.
"Here you are," the rabbit said to the wolf as he handed over the book. "This is the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe. Just head to the register and I'll ring you up shortly."
He turned his attention back to Rhoda, who was looking through another shelf. "I checked my shelves and I seem to have found some works on Shakespeare you might be interested in. I placed them at a nearby table if you'd like to look through them.

Clearing his throat and walking up to the rabbit, Alex offered a hand.
"Alexander Sinclair at your service. Can you direct me to your musical section please?" He kindly asked.
Alex did not fail to notice the others in the shop, although only one, a wolf, was familiar to him. He could of sworn he had seen the cheetah before too.
