I'm unsure if this has been discussed before, but then again I may have missed it while skimming through the topics. Now, PBB has the site, the forum, but I have always wanted to see a chat room here. It may be to much work, but I have always wanted to chat with you guys, in real time. Rather then refreshing the page over, and over, and over. But I'm sure that Vanessa and Ronald have enough on there hands. Just an idea.

There's a site called Chatango where one can make their own chatrooms. It's free to do and easy. Just thought I'd throw that info in.

| Pretty sure it wouldn't fly. Piracy is rampant as is, policing real time chat flow becomes more of an issue without an extensive administrative staff to ensure there's someone of authority on at any given time. |

Seeing as it would be a BonBon forum related chatroom, there is a way such a thing might be worked around.
The one that creates the chatroom is designated the administrator and can set things like censoring and hand out Moderator status. That administrator could then hand out such status to loyal, trusted members of the forum, like an active Royal Member. It would fall upon those members to police the chatroom while they are there. And seeing as there isn't exactly a shortage of such people, (I at least assume so. It would be a shame to learn that a loyal and loved member is one such scoundrel that splays Vanessa's hard work across the internet.) there would not be a major need for these people to be obligated to be present in this chatroom all the time, as there would likely be at least one present at almost any given time.
Just some food for thought.

There's too much risk of such a chat room being used for sharing Vanessa's work. You can't police it properly. You'd need someone to monitor it pretty much all the time, and to be honest, I don't think that anyone besides Ronald or Vanessa would be qualified for such a thing. And they both obviously have far too many other things to do.
Regular or Royal members can't be trusted for such a thing, and not just because of the risk of piracy. There'd also be the risk of people using the chatroom to insult or bully others. Far too many members here aren't(and will most likely never be) paying members of PBB, yet quite a few seem to have extensive knowledge of the comic, and there will always be paying members who are indifferent to the damage that piracy causes.
So to summarize: Trust No One *insert spooky X-files music*
