It probably was at some point, but the thing is, many people don't like the furry genre and label people in hate. Like 'fur fags' and many others I can't remember at the moment. The end made sense. The girl gave back his hand so he could draw with her again, and be together with him once more. She gave him more than just his hand back.

Yes, unfortunatly, the general public has labeled furs poorly.
As for the ending, I see what your getting at so I won't go into one of my 'analyst' rants.
The maker posted on his DA that he wanted to put a little horror swist on the story... I think he did a damn good job of that.
I know I'm going to watch this the rest of the night.

He lost his hand, that is why he could'nt draw anymore. But the girl gave him her arm so they could be together and draw together once more.
