I could always imagine how Red may be the kind of person who does get lucky, but so far, it was happening during the time he was 'innocent' on the basis that karma was on his side. When he was with that supposed threesome, it was an unexpected reward since he was trying to help Mary and Betty communicate with one another, so it can justify his 'luck' there. With Betty though, it felt like he was more manipulative in his gesture to have sex in the first place, especially since he had plans to marry Mary, so he lost any vestiges of respect I had for him.
