depends how they're drawn or look like XD like a hawt lizard from Quest for Fun

"no nose, normal eyes, sexy female body with bug features, mostly the how many body parts 2 or 4 arms or legs wings etc, stripes for bee's, patterns for spiders. stuff like that"

almost like this but more bug colors "a yellow body and no nose"

I don't think it'll work. I really like the way that Vanessa draws her characters, as her characters aren't just humans with a tail and different colored skin, which is how some artists draw and seems to be what you're suggesting here.

Also, take a look at her comment in this thread about drawing reptilian faces:

although i'm not really into the insect part of furries, i have to admit, i have seen some rather attractive spiders. it does depends on how they are drawn and some can be drawn pretty well

yeah but it isn't done very well usually, and sorry but when people mention bug furries, my ind instantly jumps to Mant and Have Spacesuit Will Travel, neither of which were particularly pleasant to look at.

That first girl you put in the second post (Not the Darkstalkers one). That looks vaguely familiar from something I once saw in DA.

Nope, then it was'nt her's then. I was thinking of an artist who also worked on Sexyfur and DA called Jessica Elwood who had a very similar art style in terms of color and such.

((It can work, if done correctly. I have a "monster-girl" artbook that is actually kinda cool. The girls are definately more animalistic, than "humans-with-bee-striping" kinda thing... and the neat thing about the books is it touches all sorts of things. Like blob-monster-girls, were-beasts, medusae, harpies, oni, and the like. It's different.

But... I think Vanessa is more going for a "mammalian" look to her story and city. Hence why we've only seen 1 reptile, and 1 avian-type avatar.))

While I'm a fan of monster-girl artwork, I don't think that it's going to be approved.

It's Vanessa's story and her artwork, so she gets final say, but I would be surprised if she does it. She spends a lot of time researching the animals and making sure that they look seemingly authentic. As a result, trying to make insects "cute" would start to move away from the design-point that Vanessa was trying to make.

If you notice, Vanessa tries to keep the face close to the original, and then humanizes the rest of the body. In the examples here, they are obviously humanizing the face and then retaining the insectoid body so you can identify what it is.

The latter is extremely common in anime. For instance, a cat-girl on PBB resembles very little to an anime cat-girl. The latter is almost always a humanoid with only vague resemblance to a cat other than the ears, a tail, and silly accent when they talk.

I think it would depend on how "distracting" such characters might come off in the Bon Bon world. A few exotic species seem to catch the eye, but bringing the insect family into things, I don't think it'll fly.

If only because Vanessa has a large cast of character, but perhaps if a member's fursona was one it might work.
