I've been wondering lately if it would be at all possible to have personal messages available between members of the forum. It's a fairly common feature on most forums I've been a part of and I wouldn't mind seeing it here. This way we could have a way for members to communicate between one another without having everyone else see it. This could also help clear up certain misunderstandings without having to take a topic off-topic to clear things up.
Then again, maybe it's just me. Anyone else want to add their two cents in. |

I think its a good Idea, I've noticed the topics being made to ask people questions or to thank them for something, could be easier. I'm with you on this *Thumbs Up* _________________

I think that private messages could quite likely lead to people sharing Vanessa's and other people's artwork through such. There have been cases of people asking for content found in the member's section, or people posting links to places where the artwork of other artists is posted without permission. Too much potential for it doing more harm than good, in my opinion.
I do miss being able to ask people to continue their conversation in PMs, though, but I still think the potential risks outweigh the potential benefits.
There's always Deviant Art or Fur Affinity for people to meet and message each other. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

considering Ronald cracked down on sharing info such as AIM and MSN info, i'm not too sure forum IMs will be introduced as such things would be much harder to police. just my thoughts on the matter, i could be wrong. _________________

anuther problem is that from time to time the forums get hit by robo spam, thus if we had an IM system it might increase the spam problem.
