You know I mean should the avatars that had been given to certain people (who did not get put into the comic) be recycled into the average avatar system. I might be stepping out of place here. Though I think it would be nice to use some of those, especially the Australian looking one. I would love to use that one.

That's the whole point of a custom avatar. It is specific to the person it is for. It is their fursona and no one else's. If we start sharing out custom avatars, used or not, it begins to defeat the purpose of them being custom.

Yeah but I mean those who haven't come on to claim theirs yet. I mean they asked for them, and they never came back to get them. I was just throwing it out their.

Well.. then I guess there's the thing. They had their chance I guess, if they really wanted it they should have claimed it when they had the chance. Of course there would be a time window of maybe a year. Then I guess it could be recycled.

I think everyone is just trying to say that there is a bit of the person behind those fursonas, and it would be wrong to take that away, even if they had to depart for various reasons. If somebody took my character, it would have been like I had disappeared entirely, and nobody would have anything to remember me by. Those avatars are our way of remembering all the good people that came and went.

Everyone have claimed their avatars. We do that when we post the description in the thread made for it. I only think that there has been a single case of someone not being around anymore when the avatar was completed.
