"Why should a true vampire be a noble"?
That's easy! Because nobody takes you seriously if you appear in a puff of smoke, bare long, sharp fangs and say "Greetings. I'm barkeep Dracula." |

That's probably why no vampire has ever done that, to my knowledge, but there is a difference between being noble and being a noble. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Hmmm... think Dracula, Bran castle, long black cape with black flames at the bottom... a rich nobleman making a deal with the devil for more power, eternal youth but giving in turn his humanity, serving the devil for all eternity....
In conclusion when I say Vampire I think of a noble rich dude. _________________ "A pencil, as sharp or as dull as I like. Hmmm... funny, as my ideas grow you shrink." |

That's one version of Dracula's beginning. Have you ever seen Blade, not very many noble vampires there. I could "count" the number of vampires I would consider "noble" on both hands, using the term very loosly in some cases. (six, in all, a rather auspicious number for those considered by some to be "spawn of Satan", would'nt you say? ) Oh, and I appologize for the terrible "count" joke but it was to good an opportunity for me to ignore. I like to think of it as "So terrible, it's funny." _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Er, Ashton? You DO know, of course, that Blade is a movieization of a Marvel Comics character, right?
(Well, at least it's a movie version that does not suck...) |

Maybe we should accept Vanessa's suggestion and put in the "Entertainer" origin... Or maybe split the entertainers among the various other origins.
After all, entertainers can be eccentrics, independent professionals (entrepreneurs), paid professionals (workers) or touring stars (travellers)...
Or even all of them at once (but if you think I want to put in the origin "Elvis Presley", well, forget it! ) |
Yeah...i kinda got that part when i looked it up.Argh that meens more work...
Dont worry Vanessa,as long as you're able to talk with us.
Well, they saved me a lot of writing to explain. Thanks guys!
What i ment was a true vampire.A vampire noble is much more suitable,so to say.Not some halfblood running around scaring the sh** out of people and drinking some jin n' blood at the bar with a couple of hookers. Now tell me Ashton, which one of them do you preffer our dear Scarlett to be? _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

Yes, Martin, I do but that's not the point I'm trying to make, the point is that there are vampires who are much less than noble and I cited Blade as an example. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

I already chose some pictures for the characters on the cards. But we forgot about Edelweiss! Poor girl!
You should tell me what color the cathegories belong to, as of now I only know that pink is for the entertainers. I gotta use only the vertical cards for the characters, right? _________________

Yes, pink is for entrepreneurs, blue is for nobles, green is for gamblers, gray is for workers, brown is for travelers, lime green is for eccentrics.
Yes, the vertical cards are for characters... and we have to think/create the main character cards witch are bigger (I think we could use the cards that you, Vanessa, have sent to me... the big size ones).
And the brown cards:

For now I'll only put in the comic's characters and, among the Royal Members, the ones whose avatars already exist. In the meantime all the others will be added. But, to get some previews in advance, I could put in the Black and white versions of the members that I haven't colored yet, that later will be updated. Concerning the Origins, I'd prefer to call the pink Origin "entertainers" rather than "entrepreneurs", do you agree? _________________

I noticed that lime green and green are similar colors. May I change the lime green with violet or purple?I belive purple is a more eccentric color (and is my preferred color! ) _________________

Vanessa, I highly doubt Edelweiss has been forgotten, the makers of this grande idea have to start somewhere. Besides, who could forget the Queen of the Delight Castle? (for that matter, who would want to, aside from Mr.Blue, of course) Oh, and unless you've already colored me or have already started working on someone else, I'll gladly volunteer to be put in a card preview. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Ashton Gray
Sexuality: Hetero
Gender: Male
HP:29
Power:5
Seduction:3
Origin:Eccentric
Abilities:Charming Music(player takes a sidekick from his deck of his choosing,Charming Music can be played once per 6 turns)
Johnny Six-Killer
Sexuality: Hetero
Gender: Male
HP:30
Power:7
Seduction:4
Origin:Traveler
Abillities:Deadeye(player instantly kills a sidekick,Deadeye can be played once per 7 turns)
Now these are your beta versions of the characters.I asign your stats and abillities this way for a reason.First,Ashton i remember that your fursona is more of a pacifist. You yourself said that hes kinda shy, although that violin gives you a nasty edge in a brawl...now,about your abillitie,im not quite sure that it is totaly balanced and im not sure you will totaly like it,if you want i could always change it.
Next is Johnny Six-Killer.If you are a traveler, than that boosts up you endurance."Most couldn't match him in a fight, but he's a big push-over for a pretty female..." theres no need for me to explain the power and seduction then. What i said to Ashton goes for your abilitie aswell.

Thank you, Cesar, I like it a lot but if I may, I'd like to point out four things, A: He may be a pacifist but that does'nt mean he does'nt know how to fight, a man travelling the world has to know how to defend himself. B: If a fight truly cannot be avoided or if he sees an unfair fight going on, he'll fight his best and probably join the outnumbered side to even things up a little. C: He would never use his violin as a weapon, remember, it's one of his most treasured possesions, but his violin case is another matter. And D: He's only shy in matters of his personal romance. I'm not saying you have to change anything about his card, I just wanted to make sure all this was understood. Thank you again, Cesar, thank you very much. P.S. Watch out for Brutus. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Looks good! My egotistical self probably would have given my own card an 8 in Power, but that would be a bit much I think... I like the description of the Deadeye ability, certainly makes it sound like this would be a rough card to have your opponent pull on you!
I'll probably look it up later in the previous posts, but how exactly are the HP of the character cards figured out? Also, while it seems obvious HP would have something to do with combat endurance, how would seduction work? Does HP somehow figure into sexual endurance as well, or is there a whole different set of game mechanics when figuring that stuff out? Again, there's a lot of reading I'll have to catch up on, and I'm no good at figuring out the rules of card games... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

Hm, if HP effects sexual endurance as well as combat endurance, Labrn would be near invincible, not to mention Scarlett Blut, our resident vamprire, immortality and such. Then of course there's our own personal immortal creatons, for those of us who have them, Carrie's various immortal creations spring to mind, probably because we've been interacting with a couple of them. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Here's an idea to help with that problem Mr. Gray. At least as far as our friend Labrn, or any other feline, is concerned. Simply have a spray bottle (an old fashioned seltzer bottle perhaps) handy to resist powerful seduction attacks. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

As i have said, the rules are not ready yet.The hit points, for now,are asigned diffrently as diffrent as your characters are from one another. Our idea is to base the game more on skill, rather than powerfull cards. And the HP is based on your fursonas. As for how the seduction atacks work...they drain HP,for now...as soon as i come up with a better idea, there will be some changes.
And yeah Labrn's card is going to be a problem But i have an idea.If Labrn agrees we can make his card a double one.Labrn and Mystic, rather than just Labrn or just Mystic. Its still going to be a powerfull card though...
And agian, more work is pileing up.Tools and Tricks cards,Locations, balancing the game,i also have to come up with other ideas...oh well best get crackin'! _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

Well, as much as making them a double would be great, the only thing I'm afraid of there is the confusion it may create. We've already had two mix-ups. >_<
As far as Mystic goes, she enjoys two on 1, so an ability for her is that she can "occupy" two characters at once, though if your going to make one for Bi, you'll have to make a cap for how many you can occupy.
Labrn is strong and has a great amount of prowress, but he has his curse! ("now your gonna pay!" *as he winds up his fist and...* "ooh, frillie lace!") So if anything, the card could have very high stats, but his ability is a drawback. Such as "if he's engaged in a sexual encounter, he can't help or do any other action" So all one must do is play a female with a decent sexual prowress and you can trump him. ;P _________________ The suspense is killing me. HP is pretty generic and sounds like exactly the wrong thing that gets downgraded when you get seduced. 'Stamina' or 'Endurance' sound more appropriate.
If I'm going to be drafted into this somehow, which I find likely, I would say blue would be the appropriate color for an arrogant medical professional from privileged origins who posseses mild delusions of genius.
While neither her physical or interpersonal skills are notable, she would most likely have the ability or get people back up on their feet. Or with more difficulty and a touch of enthusiasm, try to improve them. Or at least change them.
After all, Loucille had to find somebody to make the new and improved her... _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |
