shapnel are little bit's of metal from hand grandes and other explosives tt can imbed it's self into human flesh after they explode

Like Lily said, Shrapnel is bits of insanely hot and sharp lead that get's imbedded into the human skin and deep inside the body. Commonly found in Anti-Personnel mines, Hand Grenades and other Home made explosives. If not properly removed, these bits of lead can make their way into deeper parts of the body and into organs, the bloodstream, etc. in which case, the effects can be fatal.

They also tend to look like an Arrowhead.

That sounds very painful. It sounds 1000 times worse than getting a cut from a sharp metal can lid. >__<

I thought I'd post a few things to clarify some stuff here.

1)shrapnel are small pieces of material most often are wood,metal,and stone set into an explosive device designed to cause severe injuries and death due to the fact that the pieces move at supersonic speeds.(Pieces of metal the size of a nickel have been known to amputate limbs.)

2)Doctors use either x-rays or ultrasound to find shrapnel in the body.Magnets would attract the metal and cause more damage.

3)Many doctors don't remove too much shrapnel as the removal process can be just as damaging as the explosive was.

4)As far as I know,DesertWolf received his wounds in his arms and legs.
