well i see that Mercs are commen so here are some Merc groups. You can edit them how ever you want if you don't like something.

Faction: War's Agony
Leader: Schar Lingon
Role: Mercinary group
By far the biggest Merc group. Mainly has Frigates and Destoryers, also has Cruisers mixed in his ranks. Schar dosn't cair who are what is in his group. He has one rule, don't complete the mission you don't get paid. He mainly has pirets, looters, and other kinds of rouges in his group.

Faction: People's Shield
Leader: Dean Dreel
Role: Merc group
Has a mixed fleet from Frigates to Battlecruisers with a few Battleships. Dean mainly gets Deffence or escort missions. Dean gives his best free upgrades. Dean keeps everything in top shape. Dean only imployes furs that lisen to him and behave.

Faction: Black Sun
Leader: "Boss"
Role: Merc group
Mainly has scout/ stelth Frigates and Battleships. One of the most exspisive merc group's but they are the most stelthy of all. No one know's who is even in Black Sun. In order to contact "Boss" just let some local club bosses know you wanna chat and "Boss" will contact them.

Ha, seems kinda like a "Star Wars" style thing. I know there's alot of other games and movies out there I'm sure have been reference (Black Sun being part of the expanded Star Wars universe)

I'd love to do an RP like this though. Makes it futuristic instead of nostalgic xD
