Roderick: Give Clare the Missile Launcher...She has the best shot; and the best aim.Put the other stuff in the wagon...Wait..whats that key...

He looks over at the key Everett had and put his hand out for it.

Claire didn't hear them. She could feel something else was out there, although it wasn't what she expected. Several yards away was a radroach behind a rock.

"I dont know" Everett said puzzled, "it was in the master's ashes." He piled the weapons and ammo into the wagon and took the missle launcher up top.
"here you go Claire...Claire? what is it?" he said looking towards where she was.

Alejandro noticed they were looking nowhere "What is it? More mutants over there?" He said as he took out the magnum

Roderick turned to where they were looking and saw the Rad-Roach begins to eat at the pile of goo and soon there were a few more that came out from under a few rocks. They eat the goo and did not pay any attention to them.

Roderick: Clear example of the food chain.....Lets get going...

"We should go back to our way, shouldn't we?" Said Alejandro as he took his knife and started cleaning it with an old handkerchief

Roderick: What you talking about kid.....

He got the wagon started again and turned to look at him. They turned a corner and Dead End was now out of sight. The ruins of Detroit where a few miles away; It was only 8 am now so they would have plenty of time to get there...The radio changed songs.

Everett laid his head back and closed his eyes again. The song was kind of soothing, and helped him relax.

"I mean we should keep going" He said as he still was cleaning his knife "What do you think we can encounter in the vault?"

[Pachs]

Roderick: It's not a Vault...it's the Vault-Tech HQ building; so we will more or likely encounter Robot's...Or maybe Super Mutants...But if where lucky Raiders...They would be easy to clear out...unless they got to the Armor...But if they did they would have attacked Dead End with it by now..So the sooner we get there the better.

There where destroyed building on each side of the destroyed road and the wagon was making it's way down the road at a fair pace. Roderick looked at the building watching to see if he could spot anyone or anything planning on ambushing them.

Everett's mind began to wander. These three were heading into what could possibly be the death of them all. He knew it. He could stop it. But he stayed quiet and let the music calm him.

"This is all so weird..." Alejandro said as he took the knife to its place "But well, i have nothing to lose and the only thing that mantains me alive are the fights and the action..."

Roderick: Well that's the way it is for a lot of fur's now. All a person can do is survive.

They continued down the road as more and more ruined buildings passed by them. Roderick kept looking around at them to make sure nothing was coming.

The sound of motors suddenly filled the air. Everett's eyes shot open, as he stared up at three enclave helicopters overhead. They sped of ahead of the wagon, the sound of their rotors dying out.

"Well, I would reallywish to be at the vault already, as you said, those mutants could have the armor already" Said Alejandro as he watched the helis

Roderick saw the Enclave helicopters and let out a sigh when they landed about 200ft in front of them and began to make there way out.

Roderick: I sure hope they don't start anything....and if they do...try and keep the helicopters intact...we could get into the city even sooner.

Everett looked around the wagon to see the Enclave had landed. He put his head back, sighed, and said "Great, just great."

"Shouldn't we get ready for the worst?" He said as he took out his magnum and checked the magazine

[Pachs]

Roderick: Well don't make it look like where going to attack them...I've seen what they do to people how do that....Just stay calm and let me do the talking.

The wagon pulled up to the Enclave Soldiers and they where holding Laser Rifles and wore there "Attempts" to be intimidating armor and there commander came out and walked up to the wagon.

Commander: May I ask what your doing...

Roderick: Well I'm an merchant and these are my guards...Where going on a savaging expedition to find anything we can in Detroit.

Commander: I'm sorry but Detroit is under the jurisdiction of The Enclave and President Daniels. You will have to find somewhere else to scavenge..

The Commander waved them off and the two Soldiers standing at the entrance to the Helicopter laughed slightly at Roderick's expression of disbelief. He jumped out of the wagon and came up behind the Commander.

Roderick: You can't do this....This isn't America anymore...you can't keep people from going where they want anymore....

The Commander suddenly turned around pointing a pistol at Roderick and he took a step back and remembered he left his rifle in the wagon.

Commander: Such a comment is what makes people like you not worthy to live in the new country we are making....So...

The Commander shoots Roderick in the head and there is a loud metallic "PING" as the bullet is deflected off the skull plate in his head and ricochets back and hits one of the Soldiers in the eye...He drops his Rifle and collapses to the ground dead. Roderick has a large cut in his forehead from the shot but looks to be unhurt and he begins to laugh at there Disbelief at what just happened.

Roderick: Claire....Please show these..."Americans" a formal greeting from us Wastelanders....Kill them....

At this the Commander turned and looked at Roderick before looking up at Claire and in his clear show of surprise he was a easy target...The other Soldier was trying to find out what happened to the other and didn't seem to notice anything yet.

The second the commander looked at Claire, a burst of plasma went through his skull. He was quickly dissolved down as she aimed at the other soldier and fired three bursts. All three hit the soldier in the head. First round cracked the helmet, second punched through and the third went dead center through the hole, melting him in his pathetic suit.

Claire looked around and saw a few scientists watching in horror as their protectors were slaughtered by two people. They looked up at Claire and she lowered her rifle "BOO!!" she shouted at them. They threw their equipment up in the air and ran away screaming with their arms held high.

"What the hell is going on over there?" Everett said, he view blocked. He scrambled up top as the shots were being fired. He looked out and said, "oh...damn."

"Did I miss the action?" Alejandro said "See? Nobody can trust the Enclave anymore, they are now just... ilogic"

[Pachs]

The other two Helicopters took off as the scared off scientists had ran into them and flew off in a matter of seconds; Roderick laughed at them as they fled and he suddenly clutched his head in pain and shook his head.

Roderick: Lets get everything into the helicopter....and can someone hand me my bag and something to drink...anything will do...

He looks at the Helicopter and smiled with this they could get to the HQ in a matter of minutes and maybe even land on the roof if it was sturdy enough...And then work there way all the way through the building clearing it out.

Roderick: Good thing my Great Grandfather was part of the American Reserves before the war; he had a Holo-Tape of how to fly one...good thing I read it...

He made his way into the helicopter and began to examine it. It seemed to be well intact and enough room for all of them and even all there supplies.

Claire hopped down from the wagon and set the rocket launcher inside the helicopter before examining the dead soldiers. she looked them over and went to the one's with power armor. She scavenged the ammo from their laser rifles and flipped them over before getting on her knees and opening up a panel on the back of the armor. There was a small glowing tube inside which was quickly pulled out and stomped on. Sighing, the snow wolf returned to the helicopter and stepped inside.
