Uh...Bonbon is fictional, and is somewhat idealized like the Vegas Strip or Disneyland, so having a 'seedy underbelly' may not really be appropriate. |
Catherine is right in that there probably is a low end district for Bon Bon, however I think Gantros is correct in that it wouldn't be something that you'd see. My guess they probably live in a smaller town a few miles away, where they're out of sight and out of mind, and just come into to Bon Bon to work.
That said, I'm all for the map

I think the map is a good idea, if someone want a map for a future project
or something for this game.
like a date sims game, or something like a mini roleplay flash game
Or something like that.

My only comment is that perhaps you should stretch the valley out slightly to account for all the Royal dwellings you may decide to put in, accounting for gradual expansion as well, other than that go for it.

Hey Gantros, got a question you might know the answer. How many members are there in total of the Four Aces and Royal Members combined? I wouldn't think their homes would be bigger than the delight castle but what referance to size am I looking at? I mean, not EVERYONE can have something the size of Marble House or Herst Castle.
Also, for those reading, I am going to work on an artwork of Sky to go with the final map so who from the comic and royal members would be considered the town council to be in it?
Example: Vanessa, Betty, Gantros, Simon Blue, Corran, Red, Simon Pilkington, etc.
(PS: Even though you may suggest someone or I listed a member, if it's an avatar of a royal member it won't appear without their express permission.)

There are more Royal Members than pics in the Four Aces suite, and there's a large backlog of requests for people who would qualify, so I think actual numbers is a question for Ronald, so I've sent him an IM about it. As far as a town council, I don't know of any Royal Members in that group, though I'm flattered to be included in your view. I'd ask Vanessa on this one.
As long as you are taking requests for Royal's private homes, I might as well describe mine:
Built above and into a cliff side looking to the West, my tower, the color of ivory, climbs about 40 feet from the clifftop and another 30 down the cliff face. The edge of the cliff has been turned into a grand balcony, and the single spire has another smaller balcony at the top windows. the area below the cliff edge, is encased in glass as a large green house, fed by an underground spring that empties at the bottom, creating an artificial waterfall. The best picture I can find is this pic of the Eyrie Building from Gargoyles, but instead of a full castle, it's a single tower, and white.

A question was asked to me by Gantros about how many royal members we have. We don't disclose the information on how many members have accounts past 30 days. That information is private.
As for the number of Royal Members with Avatars, you can count the icons in the Message Board section of the site or the Four Aces Suite.
In terms of a Map for the site, while, I love the idea that fans are making a map of Pleasure Bon Bon, I will say that it will be "unofficial". We can't officially support any map per say, since the story is on going, and it gives Vanessa freedom to add things as the story needs it, and it leaves open imagination for alot of people to see Bon Bon in their own minds.
We aren't discouraging anybody from making maps, so feel free to do so. Just know it is not official. The areas of the map may change in the future when we have an official game map that will require a map.
Basically, I'm saying we can't committ to a map in stone right now. But I like the idea of people formulating what they want to see on the map and suggest a map- this will greatly help us make one official someday. For all I know, it might be exactly the same layout as the fan one.

Hey Gantros, yes I'd consider your avie as one considering you made the cinematography viewer for the castle and have a keen mind for design so I'd view your character as a deciding member.
Also, I like the castle idea. Sounds intriguing, let me see what I can draft out from that description as thanks for your help. Right now your place is #2 in line for me following Constance Mayflower's house. If it's in the west, that puts it down the valley to the top right corner in its current orientation toward's Scarlet's. When I divide the grid layout you can pick its official loation. Just be sure to let my Sky jump off it once with his glider on a good windy day.
There may be a little delay in Ver.IIA, I just acquired a new job so now I'm divided between three jobs and two personal bussinesses so I'm SWAMPED!!!
Hi Ronald, I understand the disclosure rules and no, I didn't mean members past 30 days, I'm aiming the map locations to those who have or are receiving avatars of 6 months membership and up. I myself am still two months junior for receiving avatar consideration. If I put a home on the map for every single member it'd grow out wider than Rhode Island- or worse UTAH. I also agree that it isn't official but I am making with hopes of it being adopted officially one day if it meets satisfaction, which is why I'm putting all my effort into it. But you are right, from what I've observed the land is never the same so it changes but the general shape seams pretty consistent.

Yep, I've been reading that thread for the last couple of days trying to get ideas for everyone's places. I'm adjusting the map as necessary little by little based on it. Going to take some more time now at this point.
Certainly! I would be glad to draft up your little shop. Sounds like fun. We can talk about that a little later on, at the moment I have one artwork I'm working on with my fox and Constance, as well as Constance's house and Gantros' spire to draw up. Once I'm finished with them, I will gladly adopt your coffee shop. When I'm ready you can contact me directly through my Deviant link and you can go into any details you need. Not everyone's homes were described well enough so each one will have to be requested on an individual basis.
Once I'm available, and if anyone else is interested, I'll post a forum for requests. Just remember I'm divided by three jobs and two bussinesses in the real world.
