Sometimes, I am stricken with chaotic thoughts that seem to find their best escape in poetry. This thread may or may not see many poems, but I would prefer to have a place to put my thoughts when the muses start to tickle my mind.
A World of Mind
Whispers in the breeze
Shadows in the dark
Misery the bitter tease
Upon my empty heart
What worries ever come
To the restless mind
Of all my world be undone
When nothing there to find
I walk the twisted road
That has but bitter end
And there, shattered abode
I find but not a single friend
Come enjoy the waste
World's comforts faded
Drink deep the bitter taste
Of everything come jaded
It is not a place to go
Or anything to find
It is but a great shadow
That dwells within my mind |
