I sat at the computer for pretty much the entire day. On the 24th, mom went into work around midnight to do her midnight to midnight shift. She works for two ambulance squads. She was supposed to come home, but picked up a few more hours, which I can understand. On the 25th, she was supposed to be off work at 6pm. That...did not...happen. She had been out on 9 calls and had paperwork to do. For every call they go out on, they fill out a 'trip sheet' and it HAS to be done within 24 hours of the call. She then called me a few hours later saying she wouldn't be home at all, that she was going to finish her paperwork and then head to the other ambulance squad. Right now she is there and is supposed to be off at 6pm tonight. I SERIOUSLY hope she got sleep when she got over to the other squad.
I swear one of these years when I've actually got a job...when I have the money I am going to get her a gift certificate and give her a spa day...she needs one.

My situation is no better....My mother needs a break as well
My mom tried to do a traditional Christmas to cheer everyone up, bad weather and the family crisis(I told you about that part already) blew that plan to pieces. My sis disappeared for awhile to hang with some friends with out telling anyone. Mom had a bit of a break down, and she had to go to bed early (medicated). I ended up alone at home , drinking a bottle of Chardonnay by myself while watching TV , posting here, and working out on the weight lifting system in my garage.
((I'm sorry that I'm filling your thread with my problems. I'm gonna change the subject to something a little more cheerful after this post))

Ouch...sounds like we both had a not so jolly holiday. *hugs, then scurries to the stereo and sticks on some music, then pushes Máiréad into the middle of the room*

I've had plenty to drink but that is not why hes dancing, just trying to lighten the mood by being funny.

Dallas makes his way over to Máiréad and continues to playfully dance off to her side, trying to get her to dance along (hes still doing the furry dance XD)
