Check, Please! (Open RP)

[Leaf]

(Thought I'd try creating an open RP involving my fursona. It's the first one I've done, so here goes nothing!)

On a sunny afternoon, Leaf was seen lying on the ground with a blue suitcase next to him. His gray bowler and glasses were askew and he was nursing a headache.

A couple of months ago, he had left his hometown of New York City to find a new job. His decision was influenced by the depression back home and the rumors of the dangerous outlaws in the western parts of his country. When he arrived at Bon Bon, he was taken in by the natural beauty of the town itself.

However, he also noticed that the women of the town were rather... friendly, to put it mildly. Having grown up in the city, he was aware of such behavior. But seeing it carried out so openly shocked the rabbit into embarrassment. He had pushed his hat over his eyes and briskly walked to try to find a hotel to stay. Unfortunately, he was so flustered he didn't see where he was going and ran into a local shop's door.

Leaf looked up at the man that passed him by.
"It's a bit late to tell me that," he dryly thought.

He then looked down at the ground and muttered to himself, "I can't believe I acted like a fool, running into the door like that!"

The door then opened in front of the rabbit with a shadow like figure standing inside.

"Can I help you?"

Leaf noticed the shadow in front of him. He straightened his glasses and hat and stood up. He picked up the suitcase off the ground.

"I'm sorry, sir. I was looking for a hotel to stay in and I didn't see where I was going."

a cheetah looked up from the counter then turnd around mumbling about new people being nervous about the woman around then walking up to the counter and talks to the rabbit

Walking outside from the shop the figure revealed to be a dog like man.

"A hotel you say? Well you can try the delight castle farther in town. Best chances of finding something round there." He said pointing up the road.

He notices the two rabittes "i think this is the only other rabbit besides xivk here in this tow" and starts patting them both on the head

" are correct in saying its a gift then sees the new rabbit walking around to get to him with his hand out steched "i see the girls shocked u abit and i see ur new" then notices the new rabbit eyeing his weapons looking more nervous dont worry about these there mainly for intimadation".

Leaf looked up the road where the dog was pointing at.

"Delight Palace? What an odd name..." he thought.

Turning back to the dog, he tipped his hat, saying his thanks. He was about to leave when he noticed the wolf walk into the store and pat both him and the other rabbit on the head. While this annoyed him a little, he did not show it.

Leaf then noticed the cheetah and the swords he had, growing nervous that he might use the weapons. When the cheetah explained they were for just intimidation, he relaxed somewhat.

"O-Oh... That's a relief to hear."

Leaf then grasped the cheetah's hand and shook it.

"The name is Leaf Thornton. It's nice to meet you, Mr...?"

Leaf released Link's hand, his eyes widened in shock over what he said about Bon Bon.

"P-Pleasure and sex? That would explain why the women were acting odd. I think I may need help being shown around here, please."

"Well gents hope you can help your friend out, I gotta get back inside to get back to work. Enjoy bonbon sir" The dog said shaking the rabbits hand and waving to the others as he head back inside.

Leaf shakes the dog's hand and tips him good day as the dog re-enters the store. He then turns to Link.

"Um, may I ask a question? What exactly is this 'Delight Castle'?"

Leaf pondered over what Link had just said. Numerous ideas came to mind, but none of them seemed to be right. Finally, he decided to just be honest about it.

"Um... no. I've only arrived a few hours ago, so I have no idea on what that rule is. Can you tell me, please?"

larfing link looked with his blue eye at leaf with a serious ecreption on his face " well the first rule of bon bon is..... crap hide i have to deal with this guy first dont worry i will be ok".

as link said this a big wolf stepd in frount of them then quickly handing leaf a bag of coins " head up this road and turn left u wont miss delight castle order a room for yourself and tell the receptionist link will be along in 20 minutes" as leaf quickly ran ahead the sonud of a sword could be heard.

Leaf turned around and saw the large wolf heading towards them, a menacing look in his eyes. After Link gave the rabbit a bag of coins and directions, Leaf quickly ran away as he heard a sword being drawn.

While he was running, he couldn't help but feel worried for Link, especially since the wolf was larger than him.

A short while later, Leaf was hunched over, panting from the run. After catching his breath, he looked up and was amazed. What he saw was what looked like to him an enormous mansion. The rooftops were painted pink and the building itself was white with card suit pattern decorations and pink hearts above most of the windows. There was also a large red heart on top of the roof. Below the heart was a sign with the words "Delight Palace" painted on it.

After staring at the large building, he walked up to the main entrance and passed through the doors. Entering the lobby, he noticed the numerous patrons playing casino games or having a few drinks.

But what really stood out for him were the female workers that were dressed in the most suggestive clothing he had ever seen. Seeing this made Leaf nearly pass out, as he was incredibly shy around women. Quickly glancing around, he noticed the receptionist desk near the bar. He walked up to the receptionist, a gorgeous looking cat, and set his suitcase down.

"Uh...um....e-excuse me... m-madam? Um... I-I was wandering if... if I could get a room, please?"

He takes the bag of coins that Link gave them and placed it on the desk. The cat smiled at him and handed him a room key with the number 205.

"Here you are, sir. You're room is on the second floor, third door to your right."

Leaf took the key with a shaking hand, dropping the key once before putting it in his coat pocket.

"T-Thank you. Um... i-if someone named Link comes here, can you please tell him where I am? I-I'm expecting him here in t-twenty minutes."

Tipping his hat to the receptionist, he picked up his suitcase and walked up the nearby staircase. Walking to his room, he opened the door and entered. Placing his hat on the table, he set his suitcase on the floor and lied down on the bed with his hands behind his head.

puting his sword away link lookd at his knuckle witch had a deep cut

" dam it getting rusty hope leafs ok"

then headid to delight castle

" ah here we are lets get these knuckles sortid out"

link walked up to the receptionist

"hello there miss arktail did a rabbit come in and order a room about 20 minutes ago as the lady took link to the back and helped him sort out his knuckles.

"is there any jobs going at this time as the cat said of couars there is link u work here as well as me"

link looked at her with a big smile then said " but my dear u know i dont pay attention ever"
than started to larf as she trow a towle at him

"so wheres the uniform penny i will give it to him" takeing the uniform and giveing the cat a kiss walked up the staris to leaf room and knoked on the door.

Leaf opened his eyes after hearing the knocking on his door. He got off the bed and opened the door to see Link holding a uniform.

"Link! It's good to see you're all right!"

"dont worry about me im fine u would be surpized at what a brib can do"

then handid leaf the uniform "i hope ye dont mind but as of tomorrow u have a job here as a waiter so make sure your up at 8am sharpish oh and if your hungrry lunch is being served i will see u down starits" then left to get some lunch.

Leaf took the uniform Link gave him and watched him walk away.

Leaf then shut the door to his room and laid the uniform out on the bed. His head was swimming over this turn of events.

He carefully thought about what had happened. On one hand, he was thankful for Link in giving him work. On the other hand, he was worried about being employed here. With his shyness, he was afraid that he'd make too many mistakes and get fired...

"But then again... this could be an opportunity to overcome my nervousness around women!" he thought. "If I can learn to be around the workers here without looking ridiculous, then I can talk to anyone!"

Leaf carefully placed his uniform in the closet. He took out his money, a small black notebook and a pencil from his suitcase. Placing the items and his room key in his coat pockets, Leaf left his room and locked the door to join Link downstairs for lunch.
