The stocky purple warthog tooted himself awake on the chaise lounge chair. Startled, he looked around the small flat but none of his friends were there. It was quiet.
Soon after a bath, Tuscan Zambarau brushed his black mane, singing in a gravely baritone voice. His friends had left notes on a dartboard hung on the back of the front door.
"Let's see... Katmir is in the future. Hex is in another dimension. Mireille is in a parallel universe. And Consuelo is in the Jurassic. I guess I'll stay right here in the present. I hope there's a different play at the Bon Bon Theatre."
After a hearty meal at McDonnie's Pub and Eatery, Tuscan used his monocle to read an advertisement on a lamp post.
"Well, a book reading should be interesting. There'd better be sex involved if it's going to succeed here in Bon Bon..." he said, walking towards the local public library, greeting every female along the way with a snort and a big smile.
