If this is offensive in any way shape and or form. Please delete it on site, but I made this topic for those who want to post certain tips on writing or posting in these forums and want some help. In other words a guide,

A few things of mine.

1: ATTENTION TO DETAIL

The worst thing someone can do when RPing or writing is be vague and conspicuous. Point out details like say Dorian is talking a certain way or tone, have him stand like he is talking. Put as much emphasis as possible, on how the person talks, feels, and is. Now I must say it is hard to follow such guidelines. Though you must do it to be good, when the person is having sex, describe every feeling. Do NOT be vague make sure YOU tell the reader what your character is feeling. Do your best not to have the character figure out what he is feeling, but make it clear so that YOU TELL the reader.

2: Be imaginative with your words and sentence structures.

Please do not use words (or sentences) like" Oh you just said that we had the greatest sex ever, I did to." That SUCKS be imaginative, use big words, look up big words. Though the trick to this is to not use words that no one has heard of in this era, don't be to imaginative but still amazing. Make your writing look interesting draw them in, make them want to READ your writing. Make it look interesting

That's all for now

Another helpful tip,

3: If you have trouble being inspired to write.....

Now this is the problem for most people. They can't get the fuel to write the best they can.First if you have trouble go to a place where you can work, everyone is different so maybe you write better in front of the tv. Or maybe you write better in the peace and quiet, go write where you feel best there. One for me is I do a lot better writing when I have music that fits the mood. Like sex music well I listen to music that fit's the mood. So go somewhere where you can be inspired to write good literature.

Is this just about roleplaying writing? It's not really the right section for it, if it is, but I guess it won't be buried so easily here, on the other hand.

A long time ago there was posted another thread on roleplaying etiquette, that might also be of help to someone:

Another one I came across after thinking a while.

4: Development of your Fursona.

Now when we develop our characters. We want them to be interesting correct. Well you see a good character has to have a problem. For Dorian he was shamed by his failure and lack to please his parents. Their death and other haunting memories. Jane is scarred because of her recent past. So on and so forth, and Bon Bon is the place where they are trying to get over it. Now there is love for example

Dorian Longstreet + Rhoda= 100% love capacity.

Now in this case that's another thing you need. Now bland characters can be some of the most...... bland things ever. A character without a story is a character without taste and personality.

I hope I has helped.

If I may provide a counter argument to your latest post, a good character does not need to have a problem. Sure, flawed characters can be interesting, but not when they are pretty much flawed in the same way as everyone else. Way too many characters I've seen around here has a dark past. It usually either has to do with the loss of a loved one, or through involvement with some kind of military organisation. That's not being unique, that's being like everyone else.

You don't need to rely on a dark and troubled past, nor military experience or deadly weapons, for your character to be interesting. I personally find the ones that fit best into Bon Bon, to be the ones I find the most interesting. You can often get a good idea whether a character was created for the comic or for RPs, and the latter ones don't interest me.
