A Bon Bon Business Society?

The thought had come to me when trying to think of some kind of creative RP, but it does seem like something that may exist. Considering Bon Bon is more or less a tourism kind of town, it stands to reason that there would be an occassional shady trader or two making their way into town. I think the idea of a business society regulating some of the trade within the town would help keep some street peddlers from tarnishing the appeal of the town. ANyone else think there would be an organization of local merchants?

well four of my fursonas came to bon bon and get money selling and doing work on the street. andrew and jessie john michael osbourge ahve a band that sing and play at parties or on the street.andreas a singer. and jim the frog makes money selling and trading products.

Yes, but I'm sure there would be some who would try selling "aphrodisiacs" that don't actually do anything or other seedy wares that would be more plight than benefit to the town. I'm just wondering if the merchants would handle things themselves or would it be up to the law? Bon Bon doesn't really have a police force, per se, just a guard. Or at least as far as I'm aware it's simply more or less a guard.

I think it would be very important and probably does have one. It would be hard to imagine any society without one. The regulation of trade is important.

Well there probably is some sort of merchants guild, but i don't think they will have to interfere much. In most towns where they have that sort of problem its because the towns only major source of income is ripping off the tourists. Bon Bon's main source is its Girls and I'm guessing that They are the ones that keep things like that in control. Since everyone comes to see them they basically tell the visitors where to go to buy what they need keeping them away from those who are selling fake goods.

I can easily imagine there being various merchant guilds. Some specializing in items of a sexual nature, while others specialize in standard goods.

As for people trading in illegal goods, I'm thinking that they are handled by the secret security force of Bon Bon, that Vanessa has mentioned in the past.
