Hehehe well Wolf, I give you permission to throw some hints here and there but don't reveal all.
Actually Adept I'm going to let you decide how things go between Jacob and Angle. You have a better idea on what you want done.
As for the over all posting. I'm going to mess around with Moonberg and Jemseen for a bit. Build these two characters up. _________________ I am what I am and proud to be who I am.

Thank you Caroline, your post has just inspired me. I know what I'm going to post next, as long as no one beats me to it that is. Please everyone let me deal with the Moonberg encounter.
I like all of it but the part where Vordoon is getting a large part of its energy from another planet. Now I like SiFie but even thats bit of a stretch. Sorry Caroline but I can't approve of that part of the post. Vordoon has its own power grid. I can agree with a bit of sabotage of the grid but not some sort of interstellar power grid powering other worlds from one planet. Anyway, can you please change that part of your post. _________________ I am what I am and proud to be who I am.

((Hey Aaron,
Well... I don't agree with your commentary.
We've already established that, while the Perifery has some things, they're still a backwater. They don't have the modernization and whatnot that the rest of the Imperium has. And... it still doesn't make any sense to me why Jacob would just attack the strongest strong-hold the Rebel's have. Yes, I understand the "overwheming" show of force. But, even the American Army has sent commandoes, rangers, sabatours, and whatnot ahead of the main body to disrupt enemy defenses, break supply lines, hack into lines of communication, and cause general havoc.
Young is still new to senior command. He mght not know that Vordoon has several weak spots in her armor... such as having most of its power supplied by the one massive power station at Port Helen. Shoot, his own staff might not know about such problems. He's working with a hodge-podge of half-trained military personel whose biggest challenge up to this point might be civil unrest or space pirates. There would be no reason for the Imps not to hamstring the planetary defenses prior to attacking the strong hold. I'm kinda suprized the Imps haven't destroyed hyper-wave broadcast communication systems enroute to Vordoon. So... I had them do something tactical. Hit a poorly defended, high value target.
It isn't the end of the defense. Just a huge wake-up call to Young that he might be out of his league... or know the extent of the Imperium Armada headed his way.
I suppose, iffn you really want, I could adjust that part of my scripting. But... it just seems stupid to me that Jacob, who we've also established to be an impressive military general, would just do a frontal assault against an entrenched and determined enemy. It makes him look stupid to me. )) |

Caroline, you misunderstood. I'm wasn't talking about the attack's, Young attitude, Aaron showing up, though I think Wolf's post stated that He, Aaron and Sandra were crashing on a planet but please don't change that part cause I have an idea. None of that. This is what I'm talking about:
"Sir, Port Helen has the Chase-Newman InterSolar Powerstation and the Hollsfeld Power-Grid," answered the hyena.
"I'm not following, Lieutenant."
"Sir, that powerstation provides seventy-percent of the power to this quadrant of space... and fifty-percent of the power to Vordoon."
So unless Port Helen is on Vordoon, it can't power anything on Vordoon. Let alone any system. How can one world power several other worlds? How would the energy get to those worlds? Does Port Helen charge up batteries and ship them out? The rest of your post is great. And as I said its inspired me. I've been have a major writers block and haven't been about to come up with something good for Twist of Fate for a bit. Now I have a very good idea of what to do. I'm just asking you to change this part of your post is all. _________________ I am what I am and proud to be who I am.

((Aaron,
Well... if you're going that way, how does anyone do interplanetary instant-communication? What about sheilds, chameleon suits, or combat AI droids? Or, how on earth does Caroline actually "Teleport" several, thousand, light-years worth of distance? Or even space-travel itself. It has to be FTL drives, or similar, as, even the closest known planet to Earth is several, hundred, light-years away. For that matter itself, the power-station is a "Fusion", not "Fission" reactor... and the only known "Fusion" reactor right now is the sun. So, I don't see any need to explain "how" the power-station works. It's "Future Tech 7" or whatnot. It's science-fiction Let the audience wonder about the minutia details on how it works.
But... if it's really that bad, I'll adjust the results.
As for the timeline, I kinda figured that, after Aaron had spent time with his new girlfriend, he'd go see Vectin. The prosecution has spent the past four days reading their opening statement... so... I kinda thought that would be a parallel sort of time-line thing.)) |

@ Caroline: When I read your lines about the remote power station thingie, I had a huge question mark float over my head. I sci-fi, but I also subscribe to several real-life hard-science publications and so I understand your idea. However, machines nowadays are becoming more like individual organisms. Look up "EATR", the thing what inspired Katmir's biodroid feral mecha thingie. (when I find the link to the pdf presentation, I will share it with all of you... you'll freak).
Power stations being what they are, a planet the size and scope of Vordoon may just have remote satellites relaying some essential power, but not to a hospitable planet with natural resources like an active geothermal core.... Anywho, your sci-fi storytelling powers are pumping more ions with each entry, but I'm gonna side with Aaron and say that it would fit the story better if it was a power station on Vordoon (my suggestion:) that was being over taken via software. A hack attack. My wife's laptop was attacked by something that delayed McAfee "defenses" by changing the way the computer's internal calendar works and it messed up the automatic software update. I only caught it because I decided to look into McAfee. So, the whole "Ten days ago!" freak out the furs are having about the power station grid blowing up and so forth fits great.
Other than that minor tweak, awesome writing, Caroline. _________________ "In Excelsis Neo."

((Okay, I'll adjust it. Instead of being an entirely different system, I'm thinking maybe just making Port Helen be an outworld in the Vordoon system or something. Like Pluto or... a moon of Uranus or something. And quit the snickering about Uranus.
Adept,
Give me a day or two to edit my post, before you pop yours into place.)) |

((Okay, I updated the post to just have the power station be more of a "soft underbelly" target, more than powering the sector. Hopefully that'll fit a bit better.)) |

"If you're livin in a bubble and you haven't got a care
Well, you're gonna be in trouble, cause we're gonna steal your air
Cause what you got is what we need, and all we do is dirty deeds
We're the Spaceballs, Watch Out! 'Cause we're the Spacebaaaalls...!
Goin cruisin in a spaceship,
We're so good at being bad
We'll destroy your little planet
If you ever get us mad
We're the mothers of the galaxy
You better scatter when you see
