Holding the fork in a loose grip, Shane would locate the pasta by feeling resistance against the fork as he moved it across the plate. He would then carefully weigh whatever was on his fork a couple of times to ensure the pasta was stable and not going to fall off. Years of practise made the task easy to repeat and Shane was able to enjoy his meal.
