No, the U.S of A is a fine place to be, I should know, I'm there right now Laughing . I can't advise for or against Australia, seeing as I've never been there, but I certainly can't think of a reason why not to go. Maybe next time? Get back to your roots, that sort of thing. Oh, and I've read every page of this, rules and all, made my eyes a little sore.

Well, shoot. Next time you have big travel plans, let me know in advance, huh? I do work for Marriott after all. Wink

Very Happy Only a litle?Actually the rest, except the rulesheet, was just "thinking out loud".The good news is this game is really going somewhere, the bad news is...alas we cant beat Richard Garriot's record!

I'm a voracious reader, Cesar, my eyes are well adjusted to large amounts of reading, I would imagine the only reason my eyes got a little sore is the fact my screen is illuminated and a book is not.

Thanks to maZda's model I remade the cards in full size, like this, for now you'll see them in .jpg (maZda, you should reduce them to 72 dpi to show them, I sent them big to you so you can work on them more easily), but in the future we'll put them in the site in the printable download format! So you'll be able to have them in your hands!
Anyway, I didn't correct much, maZda chose a really good frame that I tried to reproduce, a marble border identical to the one of the floors and columns of the DC! So I got the idea of adding a texture of the patterns of the interiors of the DC to the colors. This way it's perfect!
In practice on the back we'll have the face of the DC and on the front the feeling of its interiors. I also corrected the logo. Now I'm ready to put in the first characters (tell me in what cards) and maZda will do the rest. You got any indications, Cesar? Smile

woot They look awsome!Great job!The back of the card is perfect. So we use these set of cards for sidekicks, land and locations?I was going to suggest red for the gambler cards, but whats done is done, besides the green aint half bad neither Smile
Well i'll need to asign them in groups...lets see now...
Gamblers:William.Seven,Cesar and i dont know who else, since no one of the members created their cards...yet...
Entrepreneurs:Betty,Violet.
Nobles:Mary,Simon and same here for the other members cards.
Workers:The Champagne sisters,Loucille,Wilson,Meg.
Eccentrics:Martin,Vanessa,Mazda,Sibilla,Stella.
Travellers:Daphne,Sakura,Daisy.
And here comes the problem with the members cards. If everyone is just willing to pick their origin,i should be able to make the cards in a jiffy.

I'd love to choose my Origin, Cesar, I'm just having trouble figuring out which one best applies to me. My fursona has traveled much of the world and plans do to more, he's an artist and he's a noble so I'm confused as to which Origin best applies to my fursona, Traveller, Eccentric or Noble?

Well, it depends... does he, despite liking Bon Bon, plan on getting the heck outta town sooner or later, sooner best? Traveller. Does he choose the most creative over the easiest way when planning? Eccentric. Does he show hints of "higher breed" so glaring that the others have to wear sunglasses (for example, Dorian) or just plain dislike him (as in Simon's case)? Noble.
Of course, that's just a trio of examples, there are other ways to read the concept, IMHO Very Happy

Well, he does plan to leave to continue his wordly travels and learning sooner or later, later best, he chooses the more creative way more often than the easiest when planning and he does'nt hide his breeding but he does'nt flaunt it either. Argh, that was fun but I'm still confused Confused . I'm going to have to give this some more serious thought.

Indeed, Eccentric it is, unless my cold has started to effect my mind in more ways than the usuall sluggish thought train.

Wow, this is getting quite interesting. I've only been glancing over this thread mostly since it started, not fully understanding everything (CCG's aren't really my forté), but still interested in the process of this game coming together...

I'd probably volunteer my character to the cause, though to be honest I'm not sure if I'm really the kind of person who would spend much time playing the game. I have my own... "prejudices" about CCG's (a friend once tried to teach me to play Magic: The Gathering back in highschool, and I spent most of the time not fully grasping the rules and getting beat by him).

I'm not entirely sure what category "Mr. Sureshot" would fit under (or actually what role the origins play in the game, I'll have to re-read some posts to figure that out). It seems Johnny Six-Killer would more than likely fit as a "Traveler", though I partly want to say he's also an "Eccentric". He's not really an artist as such, but he is a performer (gun tricks, mostly), and he often has creative ways of getting out of trouble, even to avoid using his guns if he can...

I guess he'd have to be a "Traveler" after all, probably with more of a focus on his fighting skills than his seduction skills (not that he's bad looking or anything, he just tends to be the "strong, silent type"). Most couldn't match him in a fight, but he's a big push-over for a pretty female...

Remember two things, Johnny, volunteering your fursona does'nt mean you have to play the game and it may be a while before the game is ready to play.

By the way, Cesar, something you should know about my fursona, he's rather shy in the matters of his personal romance. This may or may not effect his Seduction but I felt it needed to be said since it was you who said "If everyone is just willing to pick their origin, i should be able to make the cards in a jiffy." and I felt it was an important part of his personality that I had yet to mention. Hm, maybe I should edit that into his description? I think I'll leave that decision to Vanessa, for all I know, she's already writting me into the story and I'd hate for this one little thing to mess her up.

Yes, Martin s right :Dorian is a Noble. And dont' forget Scarlett!
Uhm, is she a noble or an eccentric character? Confused
About Sakura, she is a geisha, so she can be an entertainer instead a traveller.

Ok Ashton, actually it was quite helpfull,i was wondering what stats to asign and i looked up you character descriprion for details. And i think you mentioned it somewhere, but i cant quite remember where... Smile

I did not forget Scarlett, but the same question came up! Very Happy A true vampire should be noble, then again she is quite eccentric...hmm...eccentric noble...noble eccentric...
Well i have to say being a noble is the best choise for her.
If Sakura is an entertainer, in that case her origin is a entrepreneur. My bad.Sorry.

And i have a suggestion Martin. Its about getting items/sidekicks in play.Lets say that the origin of the Main is a noble. He has a worker and a noble as sidekicks. In order to get an item which is of noble anligment, but requiers a noble and a worker sidekicks to be tapped in order to get it.Like Magic's mana points. It should make the game more challengeing.
Oh,and another thing since a players deck should be 40 cards, not counting the main,we should think of more characters,to take the jobs as sidekicks.

Er, shouldn't that make her an entrepreneur, same as Betty? (you know, I'm starting to think I used the wrong term...)

Sounds quite reasonable, IMHO... but in that case the origins get no discounts anymore for objects of the same origin. You know what? It's better how YOU planned it; after all it works fine in many other CCG, so it will in ours too! Very Happy

Guess what? I WAS using the wrong term, although "entrepreneur" can easily be used for Betty! Apparently, an "entrepreneur" is a person who manages an independent business, taking all the risks coming with it.

Maybe we should accept Vanessa's suggestion and put in the "Entertainer" origin... Or maybe split the entertainers among the various other origins.

After all, entertainers can be eccentrics, independent professionals (entrepreneurs), paid professionals (workers) or touring stars (travellers)...
Or even all of them at once (but if you think I want to put in the origin "Elvis Presley", well, forget it! Very Happy )

Elvis may or may not be dead but let's let the man rest in peace. Laughing Maybe we should hear a bit of Scarlett's history before calling her a noble or eccentric, or if revealing her history may spoil her story, you could always go over her history and tell us which she is, Ms.Santato. Cesar, why should a true vampire be a noble, I've heard of, seen, read about and created numerous vampires that were noble, monsterous, heroic, villainous, any combination of the afore mentioned, I'd go on but the list is quite long. I think I've deviated from my original question, which was, for those of you who forgot temporarily, as I did, "Why should a true vampire be a noble?" And last but not least, not to worry, Vanessa, we'll excuse your infrequent grammer mistakes when you decide to bless us with your opinion here while Martin is gone.
