Interesting... Assuming there was a fire at the manor, would this have been an accident? If not, then why was the fire set? Was it done as an attempt to get rid of the Blue family? Was it an act of revenge? Or was it done with a motive that involved controlling Mary?

There was no fire. Simon told Mary this as a means of controlling her. Edelweiss was exiled so Betty would have a better life.

so far so good. Pity Rikarda was too busy with ballet classes to see the announcement of Mary.
I obviously know that Mary's mother was the original owner to the Delight Castle who adopted Betty.
Now that I'm back from my long absents, I wonder what'll come next.

I believe he meant when Mary finds out that Edelweiss is her mother and is alive instead of a burned corpse she's been lead to believe her entire life.

3 new wips have been posted. From what I can tell Mary hates typewriters, Edelweiss is Mary's mother confirmed,and Mary is just absolutely adorable as a baby.
New page is up and Mary still hates typewriters. Also I want an invite.

Gotta be a Royal with a job that would correlate with being at the wedding or be a Royal getting the plus one status. Otherwise it's reader invite only.

Ah, the typewriter... The precursor to the computer keyboard that caused many a headache whenever we made a typo. I can understand why Mary decided to go to handwriting instead of a machine.

| Given Mary is knowledgeable to use a type writer I sometimes wonder the extent of her education. I mean I'm not doubting she has some book smarts or education, but was she home schooled or did Simon teach her. I don't recall anyone mentioning anything about school or anything. |

More than likely, Simon employed a few different tutors to educate Mary. Even if BonBon has a schooling facility, I doubt Simon would've let Mary leave the property to attend it.
Simon may be, uh... over protective, but I highly doubt he's the kind of father to neglect Mary. I'd wager she has as much of an education as any other person. Her solitude would merely make for a lack of social experience.
That being said, I'm genuinely curious about the matter of children in BonBon and their raising. It's clear that they aren't sheltered from much of what goes on in BonBon, as seen in an earlier issue when Betty is shown as a child making her way through the town, and even working at the Delight Castle. Obviously, the residents of BonBon still keep certain activities to private locations, to a certain extent, as we've seen various times through out the comic; but I'd love to hear more about the general structure and social standards of BonBon. What other important laws are there, what is acceptable and not acceptable in public view, how are children handled when born in or moving to BonBon? What about BonBon's history? Why was it founded? Was it always the town of pleasure? I'm sure there's much more that could be asked...
