((My part is up. I apologize for it being so short. I'm being swamped with work right now.

((Hey all,
Well... I'm going to have to bow out for now. This pre-mob and mobilization stuff is now getting into high gear, and I've less-and-less "me" time. Please keep this going. Or... at least give it a real ending, not some... everything-just-kinda-puttered-out-as-people-just-quit-kinda-ending.
Once I get back, I'll post back into the story.
And... for a bit of something I was working on for the near-finale, here is a spot of my imagination.
***** ***** ***** *****
Caroline slid the mask off, and let it fall to her feet. She wanted Phillip to see her face. She wanted him to see the emotions she was capable of expressing. "You want to see my powers? You want me to embrace the new order. You want me to embrace your order! So be it!" Froth and spittle formed at the corners of Caroline's mouth. She had had enough. It was time to sacrifice her Fool. She tore the Libram from her belt, and threw it to the ground in front of her. Into the heart of the ancient text she stabbed the silvered hilt of her Agebone staff. A bitter cold surrounded the unbridled rage in her voice. "You want to see what I am capable of doing! You want to bear witness to that which the Order knows! The true END!"
Chaotic bolts of power crackled and erupted from the book burning and searing everything they struck. A black miasma poured from Caroline. Rotting, onyx-feathered wings sprouted from her back dripping with the stench of decay. Where the feathers fell the land soured and died. An ever growing radius of death grew with Caroline at its center. Grasses browned. Flowers wilted. Insects shriveled into husks. Birds fell from the sky. The land itself withered to ash. And still the circle grew.
"Rise! Rise and bear witness! Now is the time for the End. Now is the time to claim that which your souls hunger for!" The ground cracked and split open in a thousand fissures. Shells of… things began to claw their way out of the broken earth. Their cries and wails and screams were other-worldly and terrifying. Their empty eyes glowed with a hatred and a hunger that cannot be described. Caroline looked across the battlefield. "Feast. Feast upon the life-energies you so lust for!"
The monsters surged forward like a tidal wave of carnage, devouring anything caught in their path. The Reavers smashed back into the wall of madness and un-living husks that Caroline had summoned. With practiced discipline, the martial strikes of the Reavers broke bone and rent flesh, crushing the hordes of undead Caroline was raising. Yet, each corpse that fell, shuddered and then rose again to eat. And still more pulled themselves from the depths of the earth. Even the unnatural Reavers began to buckle under the onslaught. When Caroline's un-natural horde brought a Reaver down, Philip's creation rose back up with the same, indescribable hunger glowing from its eyes and began to attack its own kind. This plague of un-life infected anything it killed, bringing it back as yet another spreader of the disease.
Clinging to the Agebone staff, Caroline collapsed to her knees. She knew she could not control the magic for long. And once she could not control it, she would have unleashed a terrible, terrible curse upon the land. There was a reason spells like this were forbidden. Her Revolution only bought them time. She was a fool, gambling on Aaron to actually act and do something. The boy was weak willed and soft. But… but for once in her life she wanted to help. A smirk filled Caroline's face as a spot of nihilistic humor overtook her. "Well… at least I'll have made my name in history," she mumbled to herself. Her voice fell quiet as her eyes locked with Phillip's. "You wanted to see what I am capable off? I have the keys to the gates of Life and Death themselves. Let the Fates fall where they may."
Philip couldn't help but return Caroline's smile. The expression Philip gave her was one of a proud father, admiring the handwork of his daughter. He couldn't remember the last time someone had actually dared to challenge him with everything they possessed. A welling of pride filled him. Caroline was serious about resisting him. He actually felt a smidgen of respect for the necromagi. While the others standing in his way limited themselves, she did not. The others talked about gambling it all on a single toss of the dice. Yet that was all that they did. Talk. Caroline had bet it all. Every. Last. Thing. An idiot's wager against the Lord of Lies and Deceit. And for that he respected her. Philip smiled. "So completely willing to risk everything on a single toss of the dice. Alia iacta est, dear Caroline?"

Ooookaaayyy... So, I've just had lunch with A_T, letting him know that he hasn't been involved with his ToA rp for over six months. Also that with Lady Caroline's real world avatar mobilizing for USArmy stuff... there are only four of us left here. I told him about the current event, but AT is still on hiatus.
Well, I would like to know what each of you would like to accomplish with Twilight of an Age..? I will say that going after Big Bad Phillip is not a good idea for several reasons starting with it is the ultimate quest that needs AT and more comitted players.
However, I'm up for side quests/major quest if you are. Your characters have rich histories, and we can explore them. That's my thinking.

That could be a good idea, Katmir. Maybe there could be an exploration of other lands as well. I did have an idea in mind for a side quest that could either be involved in the main story or a stand alone.
Crisis of Faith
Back in the Devas' homeland, trouble is stirring. Men claiming to be Rovers have come forth with evidence showing the true origins of the Devas and Daemons. The men claim to be merely bringing the truth as a means of halting the conflict between the two races. However, this proves to be the instrument of chaos in the holy land.
Some of the Dominions proclaim the documents as blasphemy against the Devas faith. Others, however, some of the citizenry are convinced that the Rovers are speaking the truth. Citizens begin fighting one another on the streets, ideologies clashing with one another. The plains of the Devas may soon turn crimson from blood... _________________ My Fursona

Thanks! What would you think happen between the two races if they read those papers? _________________ My Fursona

Mass Defection, Mass Genocide, Mass Heretical Murder, Lack of Diplomacy, Political Unrest and Uprising are just a few at the top of my mind.
If you were to test and break the faith of a heavily religious culture, the seams start to weaken at their biggest points. It'd turn into a fight of those who turned Daemon and value their religious faith over the Reaver threat, the ones who feel they were 'betrayed' by their Devan faith and attempt to rebel against the ones who currently hold power and dominance both political and religious and the religious zealots who'd stand firmly by their beliefs and attempt to save the old ways. This however can be interpreted in all sorts of ways too, so these are just some ideas to das table. _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

That's actually what I had in mind, Wolf. Some of the Devas start to reflect on the information that the Rovers brought and think it makes sense. They start to question whether their Dominions actually have the interests in mind. They then start speaking out in public, convincing more people to follow them.
Some of the Dominions take offense and order them to stop in the name of Oracia. The group, in turn, point out their own right to speak their minds. The more religious citizens take offense and clash with the new thinkers. The fighting escalates, eventually leading into a civil war between the two groups, distracting them from the real enemy...
As for the proof that the "Rovers" bring over, I figured it would be some kind of ancient journals or documents that show some kind of experimentation. _________________ My Fursona

Well... I was actually considering them to be Rovers that were kicked out from the group. Before they left, the outcasts had been digging in the archives and found the documents regarding the Daemons and Devas. They manage to make multiple copies and slip them in their belongings before they are booted out.
While reading the documents, they come up with a plan to mess with the Devas. This is carried out by a former Lunarian who bares a grudge against the Devas and wants revenge. The revenge seeker figures that the papers would be an instrument to causing chaos in the angelic furs' homeland, causing them to kill one another while he watches with glee. _________________ My Fursona

Actually, I think they'd be the members of the Scrape. Or possibly rouge Rovers that didn't trust the Scrape either. _________________ My Fursona

This Church & State fiasco sounds like real life. I'll take it! And I assume this must involve the Daemon King, and the Queen of the Devas that were created early on in the rp?
Now, how to shift our focus from Prince Vailen's Reaver home invasion to kicking tail abroad
oh wait i know... we have to convince ALL sides to beatdown Phillip's forces first..? _________________ "In Excelsis Neo."

Sounds good to me, guys! First, we should probably set the story up. Would it be on the day that the "Rovers" give the information out to the Devas? Or would it be in the middle of the civil war? _________________ My Fursona

I like the idea of starting a side rp that shows what has been happening in other parts of the world before and during Phillip's rise to power. In fact, I have a character and situation already in this main ToA rp that are relevant...
However, With respect to the current event in Prince Vailen's castle, and Lady Caroline's relationship with Phillip, we should end this skirmish with the Reavers first. I propose our champions close the portal the Reavers are coming through, call it a victory, then call it a night. I suggest sending a nasty magic bomb through to Phillip's side so he can reconsider this strategy. It's just an idea. _________________ "In Excelsis Neo."

Looks like it's Agatha's time to shine. Shine bright..!
Oh, and concerning such a powerful move... It's cool. I tend to think of our characters in old school terms like the difference between any Lord of the Rings teams and the Masters of the Universe. We have the power. And the fur. And the nerve. _________________ "In Excelsis Neo."

Crap, that's a lot of action divided into two parts in one post..!
Smite those bastiches!
And by that, I mean someone has to battle the baddies going up each level of that part of the castle... and someone else needs to help the soldiers outside with the baddies... This will help Agatha do her thing. _________________ "In Excelsis Neo."
