It looks nice
I saw a few vidoes and that convention video

But I kinda relize it's more show then play...

what I mean is... it's like this
"look at the pretty graphics, look how powerful it is"

but where is the gameplay?

yes it looks very nice and very realistic
but alot of it look like showing off the looks
then the gameplay itself, like their hiding something

maybe it's a "bad" start, as it's interesting,
but "i'm not hooked in anything you try to sale to me" feeling.

I can see alot of potential, but until they show 'Actual' gameplay, I'm not even sold.

yeah it mostly like...
"car-porn" or "game pinups"

with no action... or real gameplay just mostly FMV

but "Watch Dogs" got my attention

and speaking of got my attention
"Darkstalkers Resurrection"

mostly one of my fave Capcom fighting then any street fighter, or capcom fighters,
well besides Marvel vs Capcom 1 as well

but Darkstalkers, a street fighter clone but with monsters,

and "Darkstalkers Resurrection" coming out soon for xbl and psn
kinda hyped up for it, as I heard a newer forth title of Darkstalkers is being made too.

I'm more curious at this point what the new Xbox generation has in store for us. Hopefully it won't be released anytime soon, then again, I rarely buy a console immediately upon release after what happened with the PS3.

I agree with you on that one, Rune. I, myself, wont buy it till Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes has a release date. And that won't be for a while.

But I can say atleast we know videos work, right?

When I had bought the PS3 upon its initial release, it took nearly 2 or more years before any games of high quality had hit the market for it. Couple it with the terrible backwards compatibility which was then removed after the first few iterations. Match that with the fact that it was a 600 dollar console made it such a disappointment. Pretty much after that I had more faith in the Xbox lineup of games.

((Rune174,

I'm going to disagree with you. While flagship PS3 games took a bit to hit the market, when the PS3 first released, most of the delay was more that developers weren't sure what the PS3's new limitations were. As such, it took a bit, as game companies figured out what the PS3 could handle. It is pretty much the same with any new system as it comes onto the market. The game developers need a year to really see what the system can handle before they can seriously plug into it.

Now, for the price, yes, it was a $600 USD console; however, it was also the cheapest blu-ray player on the market, and stayed such for a few years, and it could also play CDs and DVDs. Overall, making it a pretty cost-effective entertainment system. So, yes, $600 for a game system = expensive. BUT $600 for an entertainment system = not-a-bad-deal.

As to the lack of backwards compatibility; PSN has solved much of that issue with an ever-growing library of old games. I did have one of the PS3s which was backwards compatible... and it died on me. Since then... I really haven't played any of my PS2 games... but I don't really miss them either. Anyway, there is nothing saying that you can't plug in both a PS3 and a PS2 into your TV set.

I will say, over Xbox or PlayStation, I am starting to really enjoy Steam for computer games, and DL Site for all sorts of bishoujo stuff.

Just some quick thoughts. ))

Yeah, PS3 was heralded as more an entire entertainment system than just a game console. As for testing, I believe they developers have actually been experimenting with what the PS4 can do so we should see more games after its release than the PS3.

I still have one of those 60G PS3's Razz Looking around for a buyer at the moment as I still have my PS2 and barely played any PS2 games on it. I had to actually go out and buy an older tube TV to still play my PS2 LOL.

You know, one of the things that i liked about the PS3 is that you could increase the hard drive space on eny model by replaceing the hard drive with an even spaceyer laptop size SATA hard drive. Heck i did so with my 60gig PS3 and increased the size to 200gigs. Thou it does make me wonder if thesame could be said about the PS4?

Sony just crushed E3 with the announcements of used games can be traded in,given to friends and family,or just keep.A 399 price tag,no need to have an online connection to play games or to keep the system on.the showing of Destiny game play, and Square's trailers for FF versus 13/15 and a teaser for KH3 as well as some Indie developer games.

No you don't. To quote Jack Tretton 'PlayStation 4 disc-based games don't need to be connected online to play or any type of authentication,

If you enjoy playing single-player games offline, PS4 won't require you to check in online and it won't stop working if you haven't authenticated in 24 hours.'

Yes, a PS+ subscription will be required to play online (with the exception of free to play MMOs) But offline play will still be free, also you don't need a PS+ subscription to use Netflicks, Hulu, and other video services.

http://www.screwattack.com/news/not-all-online-services-will-require-ps-plus-subscription-ps4

The reason being that it helps to keep the cost down and to help fund for the network's infrastructure.

I can respect everyone here's opinion on the matter. I can see a lot of what makes the PS3 awesome, its just I became so heavily invested into the XB360 that I lost most of my interest in it. Some of my favorite RPGs were on that system, namely the Tales series and the Disgaea franchise. Even the Atelier series were fun from time to time.
