This is the story of Sky "Blue" Fox, the twin tail blue fox that was accidentally blown into Bon Bon one day and finds himself in a new place to call home. The story will be posted in three installments leading up to Episode 2 here and sorry if it's long winded but parts 2 and 3 shouldn't be so, if you'd like to comment please do so in my Fursona's page here.

Once Part 3 is completed here you can post here if you wish. If you want to see the story past Ep 1 let me know as this is the "Pilot" episode, critiques and comments all welcomed. I hope you enjoy. Smile (There may also be a few typographical errors so feel free to correct me, I don't know how to spell some words in another language, especially when word processors don't know it either. Razz )

Episode One Part 1/3

"AAAAAHHH!!!"
A blue fur fox screamed as he awoke from slumber, panting as a cold sweat drenched his body and bedding. The young lad lay in bed in his hotel room, the sun peeking through the curtains of his window and a ray of light laying across his face. He lay there starring at the slit of light, his face covered in sweat from a night of uncomfortable dreams and was more relieved to be awake than in dreamland. Once he put weight on his arms, pushing himself up a stinging pain shot through his right shoulder and he clenched it under his pajamas as he propped himself up, gritting his teeth and strained to get upright. Once he was up he rubbed his shoulder gently as he sat on the side of the bed, calmly starring into space as the pain throbbed in his hand.

"Again... I have to stop sleeping on it like that" he said. Rubbing it a little with his right hand he then pulled it back and looked at a pair of pink scars on his right wrist. An image suddenly flashed in his mind and he grabbed his shoulder tighter, clenching a fist as he rubbed and strained in pain for a few moments. "... I have to stop DREAMING of her..."

He sighed and took a deep breath, trying to concentrate and after a few minutes the pain ebbed away. He turned and reached for a leather cuff band on the nightstand and wrapped it around his wrist, covering the scars, buckling it tightly and he opened and closed his hand a couple times before settting his hands on his lap, resting for a little longer. Once he felt right he turned and got off his bed and walked to the curtain, throwing them open as the sunlight of the morning flooded into the room and open windows, brilliantly shinning over the land. The wind gently blew and the fresh scent of the early morning air filled his nostrils as he looked out before him, taking a deep breath of the soft wind. There in the fields just a mile away was a carnival with people gathering and in the center was a tall building on top of a rolling set of hills set against the mountains in the distance. Thinking of the day to come he forgot all about the pain and a smile stretched across his face. As another gust of wind came up he looked over to the dresser beside his bed and picked up a piece of paper and started to crease and fold it, making it into a triangular shaped piece of a paper airplane. He lifted it up and pointed it out the window as another blowing of the wind came up and he pushed it into the air. The little paper airplane went forward and wafted from the window for a moment before the wind picked it up and the little paper piece soared off and high into the horizon and disappeared over into the horizon towards the crowd.

"Perfect," he said, smiling as he watched it disappear into the cloudy blue of the sky.

Quickly he turned and set about the task of getting himself ready, grabbing his clothing from the dresser drawer and sat down on the side of the bed. Brushing his trousers and shirt free of dust and lint he put them on, buttoning up his khaki pants and tucked in his blue shirt. He put on a set of suspenders instead of a belt for the task ahead and threw a green and brown vest over them before stepping into his high rise boots, buckling them nice and tight, grunting as he pulled them taught. Brushing them with his hand of some dust and dirt from the previous day he put his feet down on the floor, took a deep breath and stood up and a pair of twin tails fell off the bed behind him. He looked at his twin tails from hs hip and flicked them a couple times, making their fur flow smooth once more from the mess they were when he slept. With one last stretch and flexing of his tails he grabbed his jacket and cap from the table, putting them on and pulled a set of black gauntlet gloves from the coat pocket. He slipped them on, pulling them taught on his hands and up his arms, slipping it over his cuffed right wrist then buckled the straps on the back, flexing them to feel they were set right before he left his hotel room and off to the event ahead.

A short time later...
At the carnival the sounds of music and games filled the air, the people all gathering about and playing games and seeing the sites. The scent of warm food and cotton candy was everywhere as people enjoyed themselves, even marveled at some of the technologies that were being displayed like photographs, light bulbs, automobiles and even the radio of Mr. Marconi which had just been debuted this year. But soon in the early afternoon as the wind began to pickup, blowing through the trees and booths, everyone waited and wondered about the final demonstration that was about to debut.

"Ladies and gentle men!" called a brown bear in a black suit and top hat from a megaphone to the crowd atop the tall tower overlooking a field. "In a few moments, we will begin the event you have been waiting for, the Gliding Champion Contest! We shall begin shortly in a few minutes, please take your seats we are ready to begin!"

The crowd began to migrate towards the large field against the hill and below the tower. Those that passed by looked up and noticed the strange contraptions that sat up on top of the platform. Three large winged contraptions stood atop the platform as three gentlemen climbed up the staircase towards them. One was a tall wolf, older in years with a little gray on his muzzle showing and dressed in a long leathery coat almost to his knees length with a pair of goggles and a cap on his head, another was a tall Charteux cat in a similar apparel and even older with a heavy built body with a bushy muzzle. Behind all of them, the last to climb the stairs was the young and smaller twin-tail blue fox, surprisingly to everyone dressed in but his khaki trousers with high boots and a leather jacket with a pair of goggles dangling around his neck over a red kerchief and a simple cap hat on his head. The two gentlemen ahead of the fox were smiling and waving to the crowd and many waved back yet the fox starred blankly at the steps as they ascended to the platform.

Once they were all on the platform they stood beside one another on the edge as the crowd filled the grandstands and open areas of the field along a fence that had been erected down the length of the field and along it there were small red flags in the distance and one set of green, each with a number on them in increments of 50s from the base of the platform where they stood in front of three similar yet very different winged devices made of cloth and wood, large in span and yet delicate and fragile looking like matchsticks with painters' canvas.

Once the three gentlemen had gathered on the edge of the platform the brown bear stood forth and held up the megaphone and called to them with his blaring voice with a French accent, "Ladies and gentlemen! Madams and Misseurs! May I have your attention please!" He waited a few moments for the crowd to settle down. "Thank you! And now, we bring you to the final event of this most esteem gala of the day, a never before seen contest between three of the greatest men to grace the skies! You have witnessed many of the greatest advances in technology and industry today, that now we bring you a showcase of the sky with these daring men in their death defying desire to conquer the skies!"

The crowd broke out into cheers and applause as the bear made his speech and he waited until they calmed down before he continued.

"It is my privilege to introduce these astounding gentlemen to you all! From Germany, the great pioneer and founder of some of the greatest advances in heavier than air flight, the master of the wind, Mr. Otto Lilienthal!" The black dog gentleman took a step forward and waved to the crowds who cheered and applauded back. After a few moments he stood back among the other two. "Second, a man of the great nation of France, Masseur Octave Chanute!" The Charteux cat gentleman took a step forward and the crowd erupted into an even greater cheer and applause, lasting twice as long as Lilienthal's before he took a step back. "And finally, the young lad who has been making a great name for himself in these great events, appearing all over America and now traveling all over Europe, Masseur Sky B Fox of America!"

Sky, the blue fox of the group and the lightest dressed one of the three, tried his best to smile and took off his cap, waving to the crowd and yet surprisingly he received the least enthusiastic of the cheers and the applause was louder than the people's voices. Forcing his smile to remain on his lips now, he stood back with the other two gentlemen and waited for the speech to finish.

"Each of these gentlemen was gathered here to demonstrate for you the latest pioneering revolutions in aviation," the bear continued back into the conical megaphone. "And to make this spectacle a great event for you, we have arranged a contest for you good folks in that we have offered a great prize for the winner of this contest! A price of one thousand Florins for the winner who can fly the farthest distance of the contest. And before you... the one set of green flags, set at 300 meters away, we will grant an exceptional price of ten thousand Florins!"
The crowd erupted into cheers and whispers at hearing the size of the winning purse. Many could not believe such a prize was being offered and it was never announced until now.

The bear turned as a stronger wind gust blew his coat and hat, holding onto it as he turned and faced the three gentlemen. Standing before them, all were just as stunned as the cheering crowd. "Gentlemen, the winds are getting stronger and we hate to have to advance the time table but with the storm coming this evening we must proceed now. I wish you the best of luck to you all. I admit, we kept this little knowledge from you in an effort to act as a motivation for you to give it your best. And so, I now ask you to take to your winged contraptions and give the crowd a spectacle they will never forget."

"Thank you, heir Charteneu," said Lilienthal in his thick accented German language and turned to his winged device. A wide and thin device of a single tan envelope with ribs like a fish that was shaped like a maple leaf. Simple yet elegant with its wired and intricate sewing.

"Merci, Masseur," said Chanute and he also took his contraption. A simple glider of two wings, one above the other. Both wings were rectangular with a simple tail of crossing fins behind it.

"Thank you, sir Charteneu," said Sky. Surprisingly he was not as surprised as the other gentleman, or perhaps he didn't care as he casually walked to his device and picked it up.

All three of them mounted their gliders. Lilienthal picked up his winged glider and held onto it around his hips by two handles on wooden frame with his feet dangling beneath it so he could run. Chanute simply stepped into a similar ring of wood around his waste and simply held onto two of the bars that spanned between his two wings like a gymnast with his feet dangling below it similarly to Lilienthal's. But Sky on the other hand did differently. His glider was shaped like a gull's wing with a fan shaped tail on the back that could almost freely bend up and down. Lifting it up he pressed his back into the wooden frame and strapped himself into the device, crossing two shoulder straps across his chest and a belt around his waist. With his contraption secured to his back he lifted himself up and down a couple times on his knees then slipped his hands into a pair of handles out on wings and gave them a good tug to feel them. As he pulled, the outer tips of his wings flexed in and out and when he leaned forward and back the dovetail moved with him as it lay against the floor. Chanute and Lilienthal watched Sky as he set about his task then looked at each other, shaking their heads. They could not believe how complex and impractical his glider was and how simple theirs were. All of them held onto their devices as the wind began to blow down the ramp, getting strong by the hour, as if beckoning them to take the leap.

The crowd looked and watched as the three readied themselves for their launch atop the tower, only twenty meters tall and yet some still thought it was as high as the clouds themselves. Many had only heard of such things or read about them in newspapers and now they were about to see it before them. The first up was Lilienthal with his leaf shaped contraption. He posed himself, feeling as the wind blew and as a strong gust came up he kneeled then took a sprinting start for the edge of the ramp. With a strong grunt he jumped at the last step and up he sailed slightly as the wind blew him off the ramp, his legs now running in only the whipping wind as he sailed down the field. The crowd ooh and awed as he shifted his weight around to control the glider, making his weight guide his craft down the field, trying to keep it centered among the crowd. The wind made his speed slow and he used the updrafts as best he could to keep him aloft longer but once the wind died down from its gust the lift was robbed from his wings. He nearly lost control as the glider dropped down and forward towards the grass and, with a running drop with a stumble, he settled onto the ground just behind the 100 meter marker. It was a tragic disappointment for him but he still set his glider down and lifted off his cap, waving to the crowds as they waved and cheered him.

A few moments later, Chanute readied himself as Lilienthal and a couple gentlemen carried his glider clear and into the cheering crowd. "And now, Masseur Fox," said Chanute to Sky. "I shall show you how we glide the right way." With a wave of a flag from a judge on the ground he grinned, felt the wind gust come back down the ramp, took a run for the edge of the platform and leaped into the air, gaining a couple meters as the wind gust pushed him aloft, dangling below his bi-winged machine as he flew forth in a gentle slope, straighter than Lilienthal. The crowd cheered and roared as they watched Chanute glide forth, steady and gracefully as the wind held him aloft and he only had to shift his weight little by little as he made his way down the field. Pulling on one side or the other his glider turned and he held on tightly as he easily sailed past Lilienthal's landing area and the farther he flew the more the crowd cheered and waved until he touched down just behind the flags marked 250 meters. The crowd was almost overjoyed that they tried to break down the fence as he made a soft running landing, taking off his cap and goggles and waved to the cheering crowds.

"That was quite a feet," said Mr. Charteneu as the crowd cheered for Chanute. He looked at Sky as he simply stood there casually watching the crowd below. "It will take quite a miracle to beat that distance, Mr. Fox."

"Perhaps... but it's not impossible," said Sky with his light Irish accented voice as he set his goggles down over his eyes.

"Masseur Chanute and Lilienthal have been at this for a long time, Masseur Fox. Can you truly make it even close to his distance?"

Sky double checked his straps to make sure he was on tightly, flexed his hands then grabbed the handles on the wings of his glider. He looked at Mr. Charteneu and took a deep breath. "They didn't listen to the winds properly. They took off at the height of the gusts to get them up in the air. You need to read the wind and understand what it's saying toyou so you know how to work with it, not against it."

"Pardon me?" asked Charteneu. "I do not understand what you are saying."

"Just watch me do my thing," said Sky as he hoisted him and his glider to his feet.

He stood back as far as he could along the ramp for the greatest running start and starred at the winds as it brushed through the grass of the field and flags on the building, listening to it flow by is ears, run through his fur. Everyone watched and waited for the young American to make his running leap as Chanute was cleared off the field but they just watched as he stood there. For the longest time they watched as the wind blew and he did nothing, many started to make statements that he was a cowards and minutes later the crowd began to turn from cheers to jeers as he just stood there kneeling on the ramp, his glider's wings and tail laying on the deck. He listened to the wind as he kneeled, hearing how it came and blew from different direction, watching it blow down on the field. The crowd started to boo him loudly as he watched and waited, then saw what he was looking for. He watched as the wind blew the grass, rippling it like ocean waves with one great gap washing over the crowd and then the gust started to settle down.

"Masseur Fox... are you not going to..." said Mr. Charteneu but before he could finish his statement Sky took a deep breath then dashed like a horse from a starting gate and ran full speed down the ramp. Everyone watched as the wind suddenly died down the moment he ran for the edge and even Chanute and Lilienthal turned way to avert their eyes from the accident they expected. Everyone gasped as they saw him leap off the edge of the platform but instead of lifting up like the others he curved down to the ground and start to drop down like a stone over the edge below the ramp.

"Mr. Fox!" shouted Charteneu and ran to the edge to see Sky fall from the platform to the ground below.
As soon as he looked over the edge a stronger gust of wind came up and he was nearly thrown back as he watched Sky come streaking up into the wild blue past the platform with a WOOSH and he soared up, ten meters higher than the top of the tower with his glider spread full, catching the wind beneath its wings.

The crowd had turned to awe as they watched him climb then he gently nosed over and started to come down gently across the field. Sky watched the grass on the ground and listened to the wind, feeling it through his fur and ears, listening to its every nuance as if it were whispering to him. Just before it began to die down again Sky looked to the grass then pulled his right handle, the outer feather of the wing collapsed and the glider swerved right towards the crowd on the upslope side of the small hill as he flew towards the ground faster than the previous competitors. The crowd began to duck thinking he was going to hit them, some began to try to run but just before he hit the ground the wind blew once again and he pulled the left handle of his glider, swerving left and he flew right over the crowd, so close the spectators could reach up and touch him, his wings put down a blowing wind of their own that blew off some men's and ladies' hats and then soared upwards once again, using the draft off the hill as extra lift and he sailed on down the field, left to right and side to side, climbing and gliding, wafting like leaf in the breeze. The other two gentlemen had been slow and high in their glides but Sky was moving fast like a bird of prey, moving just like a bird through the sky. In no time he soared past Lilienthal's landing, swerving back and forth and up and down with every gust of wind over the crowd and back, past Chanute's landing and focused on the two green flags but a few meters ahead as he streaked down the field, the crowd beginning to break into a roar as they watched him approach the unreachable goal.

Skimming the ground but inches from it, the wind rushing and whipping past him, Sky sailed right through the ribbon of 300 meters and the crowd broke into adulation and pandemonium as he pulled both his wings' handles and pushed his legs up against his tail, making his glider flare and he dropped his legs down in preparation to hit the ground running. With a last pull of both his wing handles and a gentle wind gust the glider slowed down to just a jogging pace and he settled to the ground, running as his feet made contact with the grass. Sky slowed himself down coming to rest on his knee and both his hands on the ground. He had done it, broken the record for longest distance ever so far and those who had been gliding before him for years. Looking over slightly he spied a piece of the ribbon that was strung between the flags still wedged on a crease of the wing, undeniable proof that he had hit it, even he couldn't believe he had accomplished the distance. Sky slowly got to his feet but before he could realize what was happening the crowd had caught up to him and lifted him off the ground, glider and all and were hoisting him on their shoulders with a wave of cheers and shouts. Pulling off his goggles he tried to free himself from the glider as everyone tugged and pulled at it, trying to make sense of what they had seen, still dumbfounded of the spectacle before them, the wood and fabric rigging tweaking and creaking as it was tossed about. Despite the inconvenience of still being strapped to his glider he managed to smile as the crowd carried him off, glider and all on his back like a bird spread out after a crash. He shook hands with everyone who could reach him and waited as the judges and carnival security made their way to him and managed to get him down from the people and allow him to separate from his glider. The cheers and cries of the crowd continued as Chanute and Lilienthal even came up to him and he shook their hands in admiration, congratulating him on his accomplishment.

As he was shaking their hands a gentleman from the newspaper snapped a photograph of them and his glider as Mr. Charteneu brought forth a large trophy and a bag with the winning purse of Florins, all of them smiling happily as they showed how they could conquer the air and even Sky for a little while forgot all about his woes that he knew awaited him once he came back down to Earth...

Sorry! I couldn't get this any shorter without losing the details, I think. It also doesn't help I'm a novelist and have written books over 600 pages long. Sad (No, none of them were published.)

Epsiode 1 Part 2/3

A little while later after the contest, the winds had come in and were blowing strong now, a storm was eminent to arrive and most of the crowd had dispersed by now. Back in town at the hotel bar the three glider champions of the day were talking with distinguished guests and reporters about the day. The three were talking to one another over glasses of brandy while other guests and prominent members of the carnival's display were going on.

"I still cannot believe you broke that record so easily," said Lilienthal.

"I agree," said Chanute. "How did you know how to use the breezes like that?"

"Simple," said Sky taking a sip of his brandy. He sneered slightly as its burning sensation washed down his throat. "When you two jumped off the ramp you used the high point of the wind to give you the greatest takeoff with the least speed. When I jumped I used the low point of the breeze to get more speed then when it picked up I used the lift if gave me with my greater speed to climb. And as we all know it is altitude that gives us our gliding distance."

"That was brilliant, heir Fox," said Lilienthal. "And that glider of yours is purely remarkable."

"Thank you, it did take me some time to get it right."

"The speed was incredible," said Chanute. "I never would have guess a glider could get such speed."

"I was inspired by your work, Octave," said Sky. "You've been known to hover your gliders so people can take pictures, it was observing you I found out how to make it lighter and more sleek so I could achieve that speed."

"Brilliant I must say," said Lilienthal. "Cheers gentlemen, to the next stage of our accomplishments."

"Cheers!" all three said as they clicked their glasses and downed the contents.

"Indeed this is a time for celebration," said Mr. Charteneu coming up to them with a small box in his hand and a glass of champagne. He took his pen from his coat pocket and tapped it, making it chime to everyone. "Everyone, madams and masseurs!" Everyone in the room settled down and looked. "It is my esteem honor to present a token of honor for this esteemed event. Mr. Fox, will you come forward please?"

Sky set his glass down on the table and walked in front of Charteneu as he held out the little velvet box in front him in his hands. "Yes, Mr. Chateneu?" Sky asked.

"Mr. Fox, in honor of this record setting attempt, we had prepared this little prize for the winner of the contest aside from the Florin purse," Charteneu continued. He opened the box and inside was a small pin. It had the date of 1895 stamped on a crest of an eagle with a sword in its talons, surrounded by a circular halo. "This pin we grant to you as a token of this momentous occasion for setting the record so far of the longest gliding distance. Your success and courage, are an inspiration to us all."

The crowd and guests clapped as he took the small pin from the box and pinned it to the collar of Sky's shirt. Sky looked at the beautifully polished award and blushed as he looked around to the smiling faces of everyone there. He had never known such glamour as this until now.

"Thank you, thank you all," said Sky, nodding in appreciation. "It is an honor to have made not only this great accomplishment, but also to have such fine company as you present for the making of history. Without such fine people as you I would not have made it, and I thank you all in appreciation for the strength you give me."

"Hear! hear!" said Charteneu, raising his glass. The guests and even Lilienthal and Chanute raised their glasses in unanimous cheer before returning to the music of the evening. Lilienthal and Chanute were joined by their wives and went to talking amongst themselves and Sky stood there just looking around the room, watching everybody. Despite he had just won the contest and was now being toasted he felt strangely alone. Everyone was talking to everyone else and there he was, standing alone just peacefully with his hands behind his back above his twin tails. Looking around he saw a group of lovely girls standing next to a table by the wall and found them all starring at him, a couple were waving fans on themselves. Sky gave them a shy smile and they giggled in response.

Sky suddenly felt himself reel inside as he saw their delighted reaction. He turned away and lowered his head as suddenly a painful sensation began to grow in his chest. He placed his hand over his right shoulder and tried to discretely rub it, tugging at his color to play with it a little as a bead of sweat ran down his face. Sky turned away trying not to notice them but before he could move, Charteneu placed his big hand on the Sky's shoulder, making him look up to the big bear.

"Mr. Fox, you must come with me," said Charteneu with a great smile under his mustache.

"Excuse me, sir?" said Sky snapping out of his trance.

"I would like you to meet some people," said Charteneu as he led the way through the crowd. Sky followed him and they came to a table where two lovely ladies were sitting, one a young white bear and the other was a tan poodle, both quietly talking until they noticed Charteneu and Sky walk up and they smiled. "Mr. Fox, may I introduce these lovely ladies. This is my daughter, Clarice and her dear friend from school, Madame Adalene."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Fox," said Clarice with a delighted smile.

"Yes, a great pleasure," said Adalene from across the table. She bat her eyelashes at him a couple times.

Sky nearly choked in shock but fought to maintain his composure as he looked at them sitting at the table. he smiled his best and placed his hand across his chest, bowing to them as best he could. "It's an honor to meet lovely ladies as yourselves," he said.

Both of them giggled and stood up from their chairs, walking beside him.

"We were so impressed at watching you glide today," said Clarice and she lifted her hand to him. "It was so amazing to watch you fly over the crowd like that, one would think you had planned it."

"I never plan everything," said Sky taking her hand and holding it gently, doing his best to smile. "I have to improvise most of the time, feeling the wind as I do and working with it."

"Feel the wind?" asked Adalene. "What does that mean?"

"It means I have to understand the wind... it's sort of hard to explain. I just feel what the winds are doing and I can just sense what I have to do." Sky paused trying to think about how to tell them. "I'm sorry, Ms. Charteneu, but I'm not too good at explaining such things ands I'm afraid I might bore you with such details of it."

"Please, call me Clarice," she said smiling at him.

Something about the way she looked at him nearly made Sky panic. He nearly fell backwards but he caught himself before she noticed it and he used every bit of his strength to stop himself from running for some reason. Just as he was trying to think of what to say the band started playing a soft minuet that broke his concentration as couples made their way to the dance floor.

"Ah, Mr. Fox," said Chateneu looking at the smile on his daughters face, "would you be so kind as to give my daughter the pleasure of a dance?"

Sky smiled wide as best he could and took her arm, saying, "It would be my honor, sir."

She smiled greatly as she and Sky walked to the floor and slowly he led her around, taking her hand in his and placing his hand on her hip then slowly they waltzed with other couples to the delightful music, letting the rhythm guide them as they talked about all sorts of things.

"It's quite amazing," said Clarice.

"What is that?" asked Sky.

"Just so many things... that you won the contest and set a record at once. That you have such a dark blue coat for a fox. Even that pin on your collar makes you stand out, it's so lovely."

"It is unusual, I know but it does make me stand out," said Sky smiling. "I was very surprised your father gave this to me. Not even the winning purse could be as valuable to me as this pin."

"And your twin tails," she said looking down as his tails curved with them as they danced. " I've never seen a fox with two tails before."

"We are rare, it is true. I myself have never seen another but I hear we are out there."

"Indeed... it makes you... unique," said Clarice with a soft smile and a look of delight in her eyes as she moved her hand behind Sky's back and placed it on his tails.

Sky perked up at feeling her touching him there. At first he was about to dismiss it, other had seen his tails and felt them but she teasingly swirled his fur and ran her gloved fingers through it. "Uh... Clarice?" he asked her, blushing and the fur on the back of his neck standing up.

"Your fur is so soft and fluffy," she said brushing his tail some more and feeling its soft texture. "I hear all that wind fluffs up the fur on a body. Makes it soft like a silky cloud... just like yours."

"T-Thank you," Sky stammered, smiling as best she could. Suddenly his eyes shot open as she placed her hand on the cheek of his rump and gave it a soft, tender squeeze. "Ms. Clarice... that's my... You know your father is right over there, don't you?"

When he looked down he saw the look of desire in her eyes, that unmistakable mischievous smile then leaned in and whispered. "I know... but that doesn't bother me. To be honest, I haven't been with a man yet myself. I saw you gliding today and I was so astonished at you... and I just knew you'd be the one I'm looking for. Even Adalene thinks the same and we were wondering if you'd like to join on of us privately?"
Sky's heart raced in his chest, his heartbeat so loud he could hear it like a drum pounding in his ears. He could hardly concentrate except on the moment and what she wanted to do. His mind raced, heart pounded, nerves trembled and inside he desired to give her a response.

As the song ended and they came to a stop, Sky bowed to her and she curtsied in return then held her hand as he smiled at her. "Ms. Clarice, I am deeply honored of your offer and you are certainly a fine young lady. I would like to take you up on that but I am deeply sorry to say that I have matters this evening that would prevent me from honoring your request."

Clarice's smile slowly faded away at his words but she didn't know whether he was simply not interested or he couldn't answer her now. "Perhaps... sometime later?" she asked.

Sky gently kissed her gloved hand then leaned in close to her whispering, "We shall see. But I don't deny I am tempted."

He gave her a wink and she blushed in return. Adalene walked up to him and held onto his arm, moving close to him and giving him an enticing glance.

"Mr. Fox, may I have the next dance?" she happily asked.

"I would love to but unfortunately, I do have a matter I must attend to," said Sky taking her hands in his and placing his hand across his chest on his right shoulder. "I have to take care of some personal business before tomorrow and now I must leave for now, but I will see you tomorrow."

Adalane sighed in disappointment, frowning. "It's not fair, Clarice got to dance with you and I want to, as well."

She sulked and pouted that she was being denied a dance but she felt Sky's hand on her chin and he lifted her gaze to meet his as he smiled gently at her. "Don't worry, you will have the first dance tomorrow evening, I promise."

Adalane smiled at his words as he bowed to her and Clarice, saying his farewell and left them on the dance floor. The two girls giggled and talked to one another about him as Sky made his way through the crowd and back to Charteneu who was taking with two other gentlemen at the bar.

"Mr. Charteneu," he called. "My glider was put back on the platform for the next demonstration, yes?"

"Yes it was, Mr. Fox," he answered. "Why do you ask?"

"I want to go and glance it over quickly, when I was hoisted around after my flight I think there may have been some damage so I wish to make another inspection before I take it up tomorrow."

"Of course, masseur. But did you not enjoy my daughter's company?"

"She is a fine young woman," said Sky. "And I believe you are very fortunate to have a daughter as she. But I simply wish to make sure my glider is secure before the storm hits."

"As you wish," said Charteneu as Sky turned and headed for the door. He called to Sky, "Do you require any assistance?"

"No thank you, I will be fine by myself," replied Sky as he pardoned himself and left the room.

------------------------------------

"GRRRH!!! Sky grunted in pain once he was out of the room and in the hallway, clenching his right shoulder and holding it tightly. Pain surged through his shoulder, pounding him hard as he strained to concentrate on something besides it. He strained and panted hard as he felt like his shoulder was on fire, a feeling from long ago that he could never seam to shake away. The pain became so great he lost his balance and leaned up against a wall, trying everything to ignore the torment he was feeling.

"Sir, are you alright?" asked a voice. Sky looked up trying his best to maintain a straight face to see a lovely maid vole carrying a tray starring at him. "May I help you at all?"

"No... No, I'm alright," Sky said standing back up and keeping his composure as best he could, sweat pouring down his face. "It's nothing I can't handle."

"Very well, sir," said the vole starring at him for a few moments before continuing down the hall.

Sky saw her disappear then he hurried himself through the hotel lobby and out the door. The wind was blowing strong as the sun began to crest the mountains in the distance. The grass waved and rippled as it washed over the land, trees rustling their leaves. Everyone was gone and indoors, enjoying the evening and waiting out the storm on the horizon as the clouds built up.

Sky had to put his arm over his face to shield him from the wind as he walked out of the town limits and to the launching platform where his and the others' gliders were tied down all rustling atop the platform. Quickly he hurried up the stairs, the pain ebbing away as he climbed and focused on his glider, taking his mind away from the event minutes earlier. Kneeling down he examined the fine rigging and frame, checking it over for cracks and damage. There appeared to be none though he swore he heard the rigging cracking a little as the crowd had hoisted him around. His mind was relieved as he looked around the empty field, no one was around and the sky began to turn golden color. Looking aruond he watched how the wind blew across the land, smelling and hearing it as it blew through his fur.

"It's strong right now..." he thought. he looked at his glider then over to the hill on the right, how the grass rippled like the ocean. "The wind's blowing strong but steady, even just right off the hill... I could get one really good glide in, might even make the 300 meters again if I catch it just right. It's not like I can't get it back up here on my own if I glide down."

A tempting smile crossed his lips and before he knew it, Sky was strapped into his glider, fastening the harness securely as the wind bucked and rocked his wings, straining to lift the contraption from the ramp and making Sky light on his feet. He felt his boots tightly buckled, his coat button up around his neck, gauntlets on nice and secure then placed his goggles over his eyes as he posed himself for another run. Looking around once more, no one was around but he didn't care, he flew for the joy of it, his performances were secondary like the money.

With the dying of the breeze Sky readied himself, his hands on the wing handles then saw the grass ripple right, heard the wind in his ears then dashed for his life down the ramp. Just as his feet left the deck a strong gust came up as he planned and the glider lifted him high and upwards. Throwing his legs back he hooked his feet into a pair of straps on the tail and use it to make him climb and fall, making him nose over just enough that the upward wind made him hover there for a moment, a unique feeling as if his wings were of his body and not strapped to him by twigs and canvas. It seamed like forever that he hovered there, like a falcon on an updraft and even how Chanute had done for pictures. He almost forgot about the entire world as he leaned down to descend and start moving forward but once he lowered the tail he was surprised to find he wasn't descending and he was moving backwards.

"What the?" he said and looked around. Looking below him he saw the ramp creep back below him and was now moving forward. When he glanced back he saw the tower of the platform coming up at him about to strike his tail. "Oh no!"

Desperately he pushed up on the tail and the glider lifted him up and over, just missing the tower by a meter as he was now flying backwards away from the grandstands.

"That was close... too close!" he said but when he looked back down he found his situation was no better. He was still moving backwards, the wind holding him up and he was trying to force himself down, pulling the tail as harder. But once he pulled the glider plummeted from the sky like a rock, diving for the tents and booths below. If he set down he would surely hit something, causing great damage and even worse to his glider that he kicked the tail back up and the glider zoomed high, making a great WOOSH as it soared up once again. "I think I may have pushed it a little too far this time!"

Sky looked around and found a far field to his left he could make and pulling back and left the glider spun around on a Florin and sailed down towards the farm but he was moving too fast when he crossed the fence, too fast to run and he would easily trip and be blown. Pulling up and right the glider climbed and spun around again into the wind but it was too late and he was blown over a tree line and over the forest towards the hills!

"THIS IS REALLY BAD!" he shouted as he tried to find another place to land when a thunder strike pierced the sky by him, blinding him for a few seconds and he tried his best to remain in control. But once his vision returned he gasped in terror to find the ground pushing away from him as he was being blown up higher and higher into the sky that he shouted in terror, but the no one heard him on the ground as another strike of lightning lit up the cloudy sky. When the flash dissipated he was nowhere to be seen.

Sky was terrified. He was blown up in the clouds, cold and breezy as rain began to bash him, stinging as he flew through it. The ground was nowhere in sight, nothing but thick, gray, ominous clouds surrounded him as the wind tossed him about like a leaf. Another lightning strike pierced the sky and blinded him once again, deafening as it thundered him, even the sound nearly knocked him out of the sky. He rubbed his eyes, trying to clear his goggles when a strong breeze whipped him upside down, or right side up, he could no longer tell as he felt gravity pulling him down. He fiercely grabbed the handles on his wings and his feet in the tail, fighting it to stay together and right itself.

It seamed like forever as the sky grew darker and darker until soon only the lightning lit up the dark gray clouds around him. Sky knew he had been up in the air for some time now as the sky was growing dark and the rain hat soaked his clothing down to his fur. His glider felt heavy and sluggish, the rain had saturated the fabric and the wooden beams were beginning to swell and warp. Much longer of this and he knew it wouldn't last as he tried his best to put as little strain on it as possible. Another gust caught him off by surprise and blew him down hard that he couldn't stop it, he could do nothing but hold on for dear life as he felt him falling from the sky until the wind spat him out and into clear skies once again with pelting rain. His goggles were now filled with water and fogging over that he ripped them off and back onto his neck allowing him to see despite the rain in his face.

"What a relief-OH NO!!!" he yelled when he looked down to see he was over the mountains, tall and menacing with not a single flat area in sight.

There was nowhere he could set down safely and his glider couldn't take much more of this. Right at the moment he heard a SNAP and when he looked over the beam just beside his left hand was beginning to break. It was time to get down and he knew it or he would be falling down to his death. Another strike of lightning lit the ground and out of the corner of his eye he managed to spy something, a small valley and within it were buildings, the windows glowing like beacons of its inhabitants.

"Alright, there's where I'm going down," he said. He pulled the right handle and the glider banked towards the valley. "Come on, my beauty, don't give up on me now!"

Another SNAP and a creak and he saw his glider was now beginning to come apart. The ribs were breaking, the canvas was soaked and loose, even his control of it was waning quickly. Looking back down he saw the valley coming up quickly, there was a large collection of buildings in the center but there were open fields around the perimeter. Quickly he looked at how fast he was moving, where he was headed and how quickly his glider responded then with his keen eyes he visualized where it would put him. He looked to where would be best, given the winds against the hill and accounting for gusts and spied a small house next to a field on the far side.

"That's where I'm going to set it down," he though and pulled his glider in the appropriate direction. he sailed around the far end of the town, trying to fight the gusting winds as it tossed him, trying to flip him over but he caught it every time as he rounded a large, tall cream and purple colored building that he swore he saw playing card symbols on it. Just as he came around the tower another rib snapped and the wings began to buckle and he dropped from the sky. Screaming in terror he squinting through the stinging rain to see the him heading straight for the building's roof and he pushed with all his strength on the tail, closing his eyes to avoid the terror as he missed it by a couple feet and was clear on the backside as he strained to hold it upright.

Sky tried to look through rain soaked eyes as he came down to the field he was aiming for but now he was straining to keep himself under control with all his strength, holding the wings with his arms and the tail up to stop him from falling. If he put his legs down to land the glider would plummet and he was coming in fast and hard, barely able to see through the rain when another lightning strike lit the sky enough for him to see a tree directly in front of him. In terror he pulled the right handle, the one he felt was still working and banked quickly but it wasn't enough when his wing clipped the tree and tore the fabric from the frame, throwing him askew then his one good wing lifted him up and over, rolling him out of control and the last thing he saw was a house with a single window alight as his glider rolled him over and towards it.

Meanwhile..
Inside the white house in her bedroom sitting peacefully, Constance Mayflower was reading a book, buried in the heat of the story as she turned the page, continuing to read the story. A lightning strike filled the room and startled her for a moment, looking out to see the sky fade away as the rain began to lighten up.

"My goodness, that was a loud one," she said and turned back to her book. Before she could read the next sentence a loud WHOOSHing sound caught her attention outside her window, different from the wind and before she could even look there was a loud and chilling crash outside her house. She jumped out of the chair as whatever it was sounded like it rolled for a second before disappearing. "Bloody hell! What was that!?"

She rushed to her window and looked out the rain slicked glass to see what had happened. The sky was dark and hardly a thing could be seen but she could make out the vague outline of her garden's fence mangled and torn. When the lightning struck again she could see everything and gasped in shock.

Her fence was smashed as if someone had driven a carriage through it, toppled over and splintered. The ground was gouged and her flower bed was trampled on. Even her croquet set was strewn about. Something else was there she didn't recognize, looking like a tent or something similar sticking over the fence with torn fabric blowing with the wind.

She hurried downstairs, putting on a robe and taking an umbrella as she stepped onto her back lawn through the rain. The garden was a mess, the fence was worse than she expected as she looked from one side to the other. She was terrified and angered at the same time, her beautiful garden destroyed and no one was around. As anger built within her another bolt crossed the clouds, allowing something to catch her eye. Looking over towards a tall tree in the corner she could see something blue underneath another piece of the fabric and wooden objects. She walked over to it, approaching slowly yet as she got closer she could have sworn it looked like a person, when the wind came up and blew a piece of the cloth away and there she saw it, a blue fox with two tails laying there in a mangle of wood an fabric against the tree as the water fell from its branches. Blood was dripping across his face, his clothing torn and slashed as blood dripped from it as well.

She rushed to him, running through the mangled flowers, bushes and canvas then fell to her knees beside him, looking at his poor injured face that seamed to be frozen in sadness.

"Are you alright?" she called. She didn't know if he was alive or not, she didn't even know what he was doing there. She called again to him, becoming desperate as she waited for an answer. "Can you hear me? What happened to you?"

His ear twitched and she was relieved for a moment as she reached out to him and softly shook his shoulder. Gently she shook him and his eyes twitched, holding her umbrella over him. "Can you speak to me? Let me know that you are alright?"

Sky strained to understand what was happening. He felt like he was in a dream and yet knew that he wasn't. Somewhere he thought he could hear someone calling to him, leading him somewhere and he followed it as best he could. The more he followed the louder the sound became, sounding like music to him. It was so soft and gentle that he wanted desperately to find it, wanting to know what it was. He could feel something touching him, gently rocking back and forth as he strained to open his eyes, hearing that beautiful voice so close to him. His vision was blurred but there was a soft glow he could see and the outline of a face, something beautiful about it like he had never seen before that he tried to see.

Constance looked closely as she saw his eyes tiredly open and begin to look at her. He strained his best and turned his head towards him, lifting his head slightly as he tried to focus on her. She reached a hand to him and softly held his cheek, helping him to look at her. "Are you alright?" she asked again. "Talk to me, tell me something."

Her eyes turned from wonder to shock as the look on Sky's face turned from anguish to almost astonishment, starring up at her through tear soaked eyes. "Mmm... mmmeh..." Sky stammered to get out. "Mmmmy... angel?"

Constance blushed in shock at his words, unsure of what to make of the scene when his eyes closed and his body went limp. Sky's eyes closed and a sigh escaped his lips as he passed out, laying there before Constance Mayflower, not moving a muscle like a rag doll as the rain fell on them.

Episode 1 Part 3/3

He is doing better than I expected, much better than yesterday.

That was really scary, I was terrified.

I know, I was too. Either he's very lucky or it just wasn't his time. I still can't understand how he got here.

I'm not sure either, I've never seen anything like it before. I still don't know what that was all over the yard.

A pair of lovely voices spoke to each other in the darkness somewhere, one sounded so familiar and the other was soft and gentle. Just beyond the dark void Sky began to see a light, bright and brilliant.

"It was no carriage or cart, that's for sure. And it... Wait, I think I saw him move," said one voice. "His ear just twitched."

"He did?" asked the other. "Are you sure?"

Sky knew he heard the one before, it was beautiful and sweet. It was familiar and he wanted to know what it was, it sounded like an angel to him and he strained to make it towards the light. Slowly the light began to grow and he began to see something in front of him.

"He's waking up!"

"Thank heavens!"

Sky's eyes slowly opened, his vision returning to him. He was terribly confused after his last memory of being terrified and rolling over, now he felt like he was laying on a cloud, soft and silky in a beautifully white room that was brightly shining. More and more his vision came back to him, trying to look about and seeing where he was, a light fragrance of fresh flowers hung in the air and even the sound of birds chirping filled his ears. He could have sworn he was in heaven, it was too peaceful to be anything else.

"Are you alright?" a voice asked. Sky slowly looked to who called him as his vision returned and he nearly gasped in astonishment. "Can you hear me?"

Sky stood blankly at a beautiful chocolate brown, busty and tall mare lady leaning down towards him. His heart nearly skipped a beat as he looked at her wide eyed, she was enchanting and lovely. Her voice was clear as a bell and sounded almost like music to him that he swore he had to be in heaven now. The room was so beautifully white and bright that she looked like an angel aglow.

"Can you speak to me?" Constance Mayflower asked him again.

"Are... are you..." Sky stammered. "Are you an angel?"

Constance was taken back at his question at first but she giggled in delight then gently smiled, leaning towards him. She gently pat his hand as she spoke, "No, no... I'm not an angel. But that is very sweet of you to say that."

"But... you have to be," Sky said looking at her, seeing her holding his hand. He looked around the room and saw how lovely it was, the sun shining, hearing the sounds and smelling the sweet air. He was laying in a soft bed, warm and comfortable in silk so fine he could barely feel the covers on him. He looked at his body seeing he was bandaged in clean tunicates, his right shoulder was wrapped up and braced. "I mean... this is heaven, right? I have to be dead."

"No, you're not dead," said another voice. Sky looked over and saw another lady, a stunning vixen sitting on the other side of the bed in a chair with a beautiful golden coat. She stood up and leaned over the bed towards him. "You were close, though. Your coat was ice cold from the rain and water that you were in hypothermia. You've been asleep for five days straight and you lapsed into a terrible shock two days ago. We were very lucky to catch it in time. We were not sure you were going to make it until now, we had to help you drink while you were out or you would have died from dehydration."

"Five days...? But... I couldn't have survived that crash," said Sky in disbelief, looking back and forth between the two gorgeous women he was in the midst of.

"What is your name?" asked Constance.

"Sky... It's Sky Fox," he said.

"Sky, huh?" asked the vixen smiling. "That's a very fitting name. There are some blue vixens in town but I have never seen a male blue fox before, especially one with two blues on him."

"That's true, I haven't seen any others, either," he replied.

"And twin tails," said Constance. "I thought that was a rumor that they existed."

"It is true, twin tails do exist and we are rare, but I understand it's an accidental mutation, one in a million or so. Call me lucky!" He looked at both of them then remembered he didn't know who they were or where he was. "But who are you?"

"I am Constance Mayflower," said Constance and looked to the vixen on the other side of the bed. "And this is Doctor Camarilla Fuchs. She came here right after I found you."

"Ms. Mayflower?" asked Sky looking back to her.

"Yes, but please, call me Constance," she said smiling.

Sky looked back and forth between them as they sat on both sides of him, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Both of them were incredibly beautiful that he couldn't believe he was alive. " A pleasure to meet you both but... I could have sworn... I KNEW I was going to die when I crashed."

"What was the last thing you remember?" asked Camarilla.

Sky thought for a moment, looking at the ceiling as he concentrated. "I remember... I was coming down over a building and had just cleared it... then a tree... I was out of control... and then I swore this angel... I could have sworn I was dead when I heard something like an angel singing to me... like I was being led to heaven."

"That was what you said when I found you," said Constance.

Sky looked at her in surprise then in embarrassment. "That was you...? I said that?"

"Yes you did," she said smiling. "You were in my garden laying all strewn about... speaking of which, what was all that you were strapped to? There was wood and fabric everywhere."

"And what do you mean coming down?" asked Camarilla.

"That was my glider, it must have been torn to pieces when I hit the ground," said Sky, his memory slowly coming back. He tried to lean up when a fiery pain shot through his chest. "AAAAAH!!!"

"Don't move!" said Camarilla placing her hand on his shoulder to ease him as he rested back against the pillow. "You bruised three of your ribs, you have to take it easy for a few days. You will be sore for some time."

Sky rested for a few moments breathing slowly, letting the pain ebb away before continuing. "Saints and stars, that hurt!"

"I don't doubt that," said Constance. "And did you say glider? What is that?"

"It's my... or WAS my contraption I used to fly..." Sky took a deep breath, trying to focus out the pain.

"Fly?" asked Camarilla, disbelief on her face. "You mean you actually flew into her back yard?"

"Well, not intentionally!" said Sky. "... I was blown here by accident. I was at a gliding contest Octave Chanute and Otto Lilienthal... and decided to go for a flight on my own after the competition. The winds were nice and strong but... To make a long story short I pushed it too far when a thunderstorm came about when I got caught in an updraft and I got blown here. My glider was coming apart as I came in to land and had to crash it... Speaking of which, where is here?"

"You're in Bon Bon," said Constance.

"Bon Bon? Strange name for a town," said Sky. He began to look at them back and forth for some reason. "But..."

"Huh?" asked Camarilla. She looked at him, seeing him staring at her with a curious look of embarrassment on his face. "What's wrong?"

"Uh..." Sky stammered. "Doctor I... don't know how to tell you this but um... you uh... your blouse is..."

Camarilla looked down to see her blouse revealingly open showing her large cleavage with her tie teasingly laying in between as she sat there with her legs crossed. "Yes, what about it?"

"Umm... nothing," said Sky, not sure if she didn't know how revealed she was or that she didn't care. He looked over to Constance and was about to comment when he looked at her and noticed she was more buxom but was just as revealed, seeing the tops of her nipples sticking over her nearly see-through blouse. Even looking down it wasn't much of one, more like a clipped silk lace wrapping that was slit up to her hip that showed off her slim body and legs. He blushed in embarrassment then shot his eyes at the ceiling and glued them there.

"Sky? What's wrong?" asked Constance seeing him go stone rigid.

"Oh nothing!" Sky gushed, sheepishly grinning. "Nothing at all! I just... don't usually see... such things."

"Things?" asked Constance looking down at herself. "What things?"

"Uh... just umm... Things!" Sky embarrassingly stammered. "I'm uh... not used to ladies being so... revealing, is all."

Both of them looked down at themselves, they were used to it and it took them a few moments to realize what he meant.

"Oh, you mean how we're dressed?" asked Constance.

"Yes...," Sky said. "I just haven't seen women so... At least on first impressions."

"Oh but this is common in Bon Bon," said Camarilla smiling.

"Doctor Fuchs, where EXACTLY is Bon Bon anyway?" Sky asked looking over to her, ignoring her appearance as best he could.

"Please, call me Kommy," she said smiling. "Oh, and Bon Bon is..."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!?!?!?" could be heard echoing through the valley, some people in town stopped and looked in the direction as the loud question echoed through the streets.

Back in Constance's house, Sky was sitting up with his a face of absolute shock and astonishment, his eyes bugging out like saucers! "ARE YOU TELLING ME I GOT BLOWN THAT FAR HERE!?!?!?"

"Sky, calm down!" said Constance. Both her and Camarilla jumped back at his outburst then she quickly leaned in placing her hands on his shoulders.

"Yes, don't be so vigorous!" said Camarilla putting her hands on his shoulders, too. "You'll strain something again if you get too worked up!"

"That's not the point!" said Sky calming down a little. "I last only flew a distance of 300 meters and that was a record! And now you're telling me I not only flew that long but that FAR!? That means I not only set a new distance record but a time aloft and height record to clear the mountains! Nobody's ever gone so high or so far!"

"That's all fine and dandy, Sky, but if you don't take it easy it will be for nothing if you hurt yourself like this," said Camrailla trying to lay him back down. "You need to take it easy or you'll hurt yourself again, just try to forget it for now."

She was right and the pain from his chest began to creep back into his mind. Sky wrapped his arms around his chest, holding him as he leaned over the bruises, breathing hard. "I'm alright... OWW! I'm thirsty, though... Could I have some water, please?"

"Of Course," said Constance. She poured him glass of water from a pitcher on the nightstand and held it up to him. Sky tried to take it himself but the pain was so great he had to hold his chest with one hand and tried to carefully hold the glass but his grip was shaky from the pain. "Here, let me help you."

Constance helped him slowly drink it, tilting it for him as the cool water washed down his throat, quenching his parched lips. "Thank you... thank you very much" he said.

"Here, this might help you," said Camarilla, pulling a vile of pills from a bag beside her chair. She pulled off the cap and shook out two blue pills. "This will help with the pain a little."

Sky tried to take them but couldn't stop his shivering as he strained not to cry out, the pain getting worse by the moment. She held them up to his mouth and placed them on his tongue for him then he swallowed quickly. They both then helped him gently back down to the pillows, the pain beginning to go away as he relaxed.

"Don't strain yourself so much, Sky," said Constance. "It's bad enough that you were so badly injured, I don't want to see you hurt anymore."

"Lay still for a moment, let me check you out," said Camarilla. She leaned over him and softly felt around his chest and bandages to make sure everything was still there. Touching his rib, Sky squinted a little as she felt around but she was relieved to feel everything was still healing. "You're fine, just stay still and let the pills work, they will take effect very quickly."

Sky breathed heavily, squinting his eyes then slowly opened them, looking at Constance beside him. "You... You're not worried about the damage?" he asked her. "No one... no one's ever been this nice to me... I mean, I crashed into your property... and you're not angry with me?"

"Well... I'm not happy about how much was damaged," she began but then softly smiled, "but I am glad to see you are alive. That's more important than my yard."

Sky couldn't believe what he heard. He had crashed into people's properties before and had been horribly thrashed from it, and here he was with a beautiful woman and she was more concerned for him. He wasn't sure if he was happy or sad as a tear began to well up in his eyes.

"You... Y-You have to be an angel," he said to her. "No one's ever... EVER been so kind to me!"

Constance smiled at his words, it made her feel special to give referred to in such a way. She placed a hand on his shoulder and softly spoke, "Just rest, Sky. You're in Bon Bon now and you'll be fine here. You are more than welcome."

Sky felt relieved like he hadn't been in a long time, possibly never.

"Sky, have you crashed into other people's property before?" asked Camrailla as she sat on the side of the bed.

"Yes I have," he said as he felt her pills slowly beginning to take the pain away. "It comes with the job... I've crashed through fences, hit carts and had bad landings before. I broke my leg when I was twelve when I first tried gliding... Why do you ask?"

"That scar on your shoulder looks very bad." When she mentioned it he looked down at his shoulder, the scar hidden under his bandages. "It was severe and I don't think it healed properly by the looks of it. I might want to see if I can do something about it later on. Was that also from a crash?"

Sky slowly touched his bandaged shoulder. The scar was beneath the white wrappings and he drew his fingers across where it was when a memory flashed in his mind. Pain shot through his shoulder once again, overpowering the pills and he clenched his shoulder, rolling onto his side and curling up, squinting from the pain of the memory.

"Sky!?" Constance called to him, leaning down close to him and touching his shoulder again. "What's wrong?"

He squinted for a few moments, panting as he tried to forget about it.

"A m-m-mistake!" he whispered through grit teeth. Constance and Camarilla looked at him in confusion, wondering what he meant by it. He opened his eyes a little, staring into space. "It was just... a big mistake."

They gave him a few moments to himself as he slowly uncurled and laid back out on the bed, still rubbing his scarred shoulder.

"Sorry about that," he said. "It's an inconvenience that comes back once in a while."

"Oh..." said Camarilla. "Sorry to do that to you."

"It's alright, it's just something I have to deal with." he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Could I ask you about... the other ones?" she asked. Sky looked at her. "The ones on your wrist?"

Sky pulled up his right hand and looked at his wrist, two pink slit scars across it. He covered them with his left hand and rubbed them slowly. He wondered why the cuff he always wore on it was gone, it was an embarrassment to him but not as bad as others. The two ladies thought he was going to squint again but instead he sheepishly grinned.

"It was another mistake, but luckily one I'm glad didn't turn out so well." He even giggled once then looked over to Constance and Camarilla. "Look, don't worry about me, I'll be fine, I've survived worse. I'm eternally grateful to you both for your hospitality and kindness but I do have to make restitutions to your property. Is it terribly bad? I'll cover it."

"Oh, well," Constance began, "It is a little extensive. There were some broken and torn high hedges and flower bushes, my croquet set was ruined. The fence will also have to be repainted along with replanting some bushes with grass you slid through but nothing too terribly wrong."

"No problem, I'll cover the cost and do all the work," said Sky with a smile. "It's the least I can do. Fortunately while I was at the carnival I won a large purse of Florins so I can easily cover the expenses. I'm sure my glider is wrecked beyond repair."

"It certainly was," said Camarilla. "Until you told us what all that fabric and twigs were I could have sworn it was a covered wagon."

"I'll build another one when I get on my feet and I'll make it better than ever," said Sky smiling. "The fact it got me this far is amazing, I have to make another one like it. If there's a telegraph office in town I'll send word to Mr. Charteneu to forward the money to me here, though I'm sure he'll never believe I flew this far! Make me a bill and I'll take care of it all, you too, Camarilla."

"And while you're here in Bon Bon you are more than welcome to stay here with me," said Constance smiling. "It will be nice to have some company for once, I don't usually have staying over guests and I'd like to know more about this glider that brought you here."

"It would be an honor and a privilege," said Sky smiling in return, happier than ever.

"Do you have any extra clothing or money while you're here?" asked Camarilla.

"No, unfortunately," said Sky closing his eyes and laying back in content and rubbing his chest. "I didn't plan on coming here so I don't have anything except the shirt on my back and ... Huh?"

Sky half opened his eyes and started feeling his chest. His eyes opened wide as he started patting it all over. "Wait a minute, something's missing, here." He felt around his bare chest and arms, realizing he never noticed before that he was bare. He then started patting the covers down by his legs. "That feels rather thin down there." He slipped his hands under the covered and felt down to his lower body and his eyes bulged out like saucers as he stroked his member on between his legs!

" Huh??? What the-!?" he shouted and lifted the covered off him chest, looking down to his body. "WAAAAH!!!"

"What!? What is it???" asked Constance, seeing Sky sitting there, clenching the blankets to his body, his face turning red through his blue fur. "Sky, what's wrong?"

"I... I-I must have had a moment of amnesia!" said Sky with shocked eyes. "I don't remember taking my clothes off! I... I-I-I'm as fresh as newborn baby!"

"Oh is that all!" said Constance smiling. "You didn't take them off."

"What!?" asked sky.

"Of course not, we had to take your clothes off for you, they were all ripped and soaked," said Camarilla shrugging her shoulders. "We had to get you dry to treat you while you were out like a light!"

Sky reeled in shock, clenching the blankets as his heart beat faster at the thought of them undressing him! "Y-Y-You mean you ... y-you saw me... n-n-n-na-nake-nake-nneki-!"

"Like afresh out of your momma's oven, baby!" said Camarilla grinning!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA!!!" Sky shouted, rolling away from them and pulling the covers over his head. He curled up under them, only his muzzle sticking out from on the pillow, a big frown across it.

"What!? Sky, what's the problem? We had to do it to help you!" said Constance.

"THAT'S not the problem!" Sky said, shivering in embarrassment. "You saw me all naked and bare! I'm so ashamed!!!"

"What are you ashamed of?" asked Camarilla smiling. "We had to get you dry. And besides, looks like you've got nothing to be ashamed of, you're going to love it here in Bon Bon!"

Under the blankets Sky began to turn a bright shade of red, gushing at her comment of his body!

"Of course you will," said Constance leaning down next to his shivering muzzle. "Bon Bon is the city of sex and pleasure, I'm sure there's a lot of nice ladies in town that would just LOVE to meet you!"

What kind of a place is this!? thought Sky. I've never even been with a woman before and now I'm stuck here between two gorgeous ladies that have no problem seeing a guy fresh like a spring chicken!? This is either a dream or a nightmare!!! Where am I!? What am I doing here!? How did I get here!?

"WHERE ARE MY PANTS???" Sky shouted!

Will Sky ever get out of Bon Bon? Will he ever fly again? Will he ever find his pants??? Stay tuned for the next installment of The Blue Sky of Bon Bon!!!

To Be Continued...

The first episode of Sky B Fox, completed. My apologies in advance to Kommy for using Dr. Camarilla Fuchs, I couldn't find another doctor in town. Thanks to Symphony for allowing Sky to crash in her yard and I look forward to writing the next episode! NOW you may comment in this thread. Smile

I think it's really good. It's well written and amusing, and you seem to have a good idea of how Constance and Camarilla would act. You might want to talk to kommy about using her fursona, though, as I have no idea how she feels about such things.

I'll look forward to reading more from you. Very Happy

Very Happy Thank you all, if it weren't for you it would have read "RIP Sky B Fox 4/3/1895" with a picture of a tombstone instead of the final part. I hope you enjoyed it as much as me.

SYMPHONY
I'm glad you approve, Symphony, I wanted to be sure and do your fursona justice. I do have some interesting ideas for the next episode or two and you are right, I did want to ask Kommy first before using her fursona but at the time I didin't know how to reach her and thought as long as I keep it platonic I might at least be spared a harsh wrath, but if she does I have no problem writing in a new character. Until I get her permission I wont use her further, though that will delay the next episode until I can get an answer or find a new doctor.

You did bring up an interesting point and it's about here at this point I'd like to post a forum for a casting call for Royal Members to use thier fursonas, RP and casual members too. My story does use a great deal of interaction among the Royals and the delight castle members and I'd like to get their permissions first, because depending on how people feel will ultimately shape the story. As an example I had four ideas in mind for how it would go, then you said Constance is off limits and two of them went out the window. Even Chessy, I had gotten a hold of her and was going to use her as the Cat-alyst character that sparked Sky's memories to resurface but thought she said yes, when I asked for some details to figure out how to write her I never received a response, so I wrote her out and need a new character, Mystic is the next candidate I'd consider.

Later on tonight I'll putup a forum thread about how Sky acts, what he does then ask people to give opinions of how they would perceive him and what they'd do, as well as list the cast of characters I had planned him to interract with from bussiness associates, to casual aquaintences and even those love interests you wanted to know about. Though I'm not sure how many Royal Members would actually respond to the thread but we'll see. If you would know how to help me get a hold of some of them I'd greatly appreciate it.

45dragons
As for 45dragons question, I have probably eight books I attemtped though only six were written in any form with the other two being just the premises established. My first ever was a time traveler/giant robot story I wrote out by HAND on lined paper in a binder during classes and breaks in my junior high school year, all 325 pages. My first completed story was a military aviation-technology thriller set within the navy, I made it at about 600 pages. It later became my series idea and the second I stopped halfway, the third I wrote only the epilogue which would have concluded the first two books. The three following that was a spinoff of the second story's secondary-cast members in a three-part saga about two artificaly intelligent fighter planes that achieved consciousness, sort of like the movie STEALTH but much more believable and realisitc. My latest one, and my true publication attempt is a dragon story that I won't go into details about but I'm trying everything to stay away from Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter to make it unique- AND THAT'S HARD THESE DAYS!!!

There's your answer. Smile

Are you still considering to use a female character from the comic as the love interest of your fursona? It'll give you a good visual reference, you can give her the personality you want, and you won't have to get permission from another member. Or have you decided to focus on the fursona of someone else?
That might be an easier solution to that, though I do think it's a good idea to incorporate the fursonas of others into your writing.

And just out of curiousity: You also mention a thread for Royal members to respond in. Are you only going to include the fursonas of people who have had their avatar drawn by Vanessa?

As I said, the one girl "in the end" is going to be kept a secret until you read it, but she will be one of the mentioned love interests he has and that will be a mix of royals and delight girls. You'll just have to guess which it is when you read the list and we go down the line. Smile

And no, not at all. Smile I didn't say just Royals, but Royals, roleplayers and forum members I'll consider as well, though the later two may more or less be cameos and background characters. The reason I focused on Royals ands comics is that with reading the comic and such, they are the ones I have seen personalities of the most and can base Sky's interactions off of, not just an external appearance. But everyone's opinions are wanted and needed but we can wait on that, I'm going to be busy for the next couple days with work and bussinesses so I'll be compiling the forum for couple days and it might change from what's on my mind now, then post it perhaps on Friday. We'll go from there, hope to see you then. Smile

^ ahhh... ok and if its going to be a dragon story make sure its not like the pit dragon saga by jane yolen
dragons blood
hearts blood
a sending of dragons
dragons heart

also seeing what your books where about i can see why there where not published.... you have to think of what this era of young adults would want to read.. i for one would read your books if there was alot of robotic stuff. but then again what was the titles as well. and if you ever want an idea for some thing to do i could try and think up some thing for you... i get bored some times and draw but never have the writers tallent..

I've written erotic, too. Never had anyone yet that didn't need a bathroom after reading my stuff, though I'm still apprehensive about debuting it. Even in Sky's story, nothing "intimate" is planned for at least 3 episodes or so.

I've never heard of that writer or series. I started my dragon story as a "one chapter a month" gift to my grandmother as a retirement present to occupy some of her time. Ans SHE is also a Bon Bon fan, and my proof reader and story sounding board for Sky that you've read. Neat-o, huh? Very Happy

Let's see, the first one I can't remember at this time and I didn't keep the title page though I still have the original hand written manuscript.

But in the series of military novels, the were this:
1)Skies of the Alley Cats
2)Phalanx Force
3)Sky Warriors
4a)X-Factors: Electronic Evolution
4b)X-Factors: Dueling Daggers
4c)X-Factors: Final Challenge

My main premise focused around a F-14 Tomcat fighter that was severely modified with more power and fuel efficient engines, one pilot instead of two with an onboard semi-intelligent super computer system that acted as an on-demand copilot and real-time combat data sharing system (imagine you are engaged in a dogfight, someone's behind you and can't shoot without a lock but your missiles can hone in on telemetry from your wingman's aircraft if it has a lock then shoot the missile around and behind to your pursuer and more), as well as a greater payloud and fuel capacity, a 30-second afterburner booster fuel supply to make short takeoffs or dash it to Mach 3 in a run, and the aircraft was skinned made of a crystaline plastic that was light as carbon fiber, thermal resistant like the space shuttle and strong as armor steel for direct hits. There were other aircraft in the other two books but too complex to mention.

In the X-Factors it focused around two fighter planes developed for research and a future military contract, that were physically linked into the pilots by surgically implanted computer relays. The aircraft had new computer systems that were marked artificial/actual-intelligence (AAI) with preprogrammed knowledge but their processors worked like human brain synaptic functions. The system, being tied into the pilots by their surgical computers, could actually monitor their pilots' body and thought processes in real time then actually alter their programming based on what they did and learn from it, altering their own "minds" to human styles... until one of them got scared and ran. Wink

That's as far as I go with them. Smile Maybe one day I'll finish them all for fun.

You think I didn't account for that? Smile EMPs were a big consideration, they could survive them and if not there was a smart super shielded backup unit that would automatically reboot the plane's systems.

UPDATE: I'm going to hold off debuing Episode 2 until after I finish the artwork I posted about in the PERSONAL STUFF forum, I'd like to have some form of visual referance for people to see who Sky is. How in the world does Vanessa do her shading is beyond me, my typical penstyle doesn't give Bon Bon characters justice so I'm having to relearn some things, including how to setup shades and highlights again. GRRRR!!!

Plus there's a minor plot hole I'm trying to work out first but it'll be up hopefully in a week. Hopefully I can get permission from three or four royal members in mind for that episode. There's also an idea in there that bridges between 2 and 3 so I have to sort it out but there will be one hell of a shocker for Sky waiting for him down town. Wink Incidentally, until I can get the casting call forum up, the requested members would be the following and if anyone knew how to get a hold of them so that I could make the request, that would be greatly appreciated and I remind that they are not for intimate relations but socializing only:
Constance Mayflower
Dr. Camarilla Fuchs
Scorpia Fortune
Jessica Belle
Thomas Aaron
Alexander Nelson

And if YES I can use them, there is one question with it: What would you do or think if you saw Constance Mayflower with a blue, twin tail male fox, casually spending time together in public?

I've also been working on Constance's house idea, Gantros' spire and Sky's shop (rough of that's in another forum) that I'm burnt out right now. Usually to get me in the victorina mood I have to have Titanic, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Alice in Wonderland, Aliens vs. Predator- HOW'D THAT GET IN THERE!?- running in the background to inspire me, keeps the gear in my head turning. And a splash of absinthe on with all that works well, though I am tired of chasing those little pink Cristina Aguilera monsters around the art studio and playing whack-a-mole all hours of the night! Hehehe!!! Razz

S! Bluehawk,

I was pointed out you actually included a flight story into PBB world, so I found your story.

I only read a little, and you did some searches and found 2 of the very early pursuers of flight, at least "falling with style". Wink

perhaps I am help you some ideas for your prolific writing?

Lilienthal, Chanute, Wright Bros, and many others knew of each other, likely conversed with each other by mail (if they can speak a common language or had translator), and many journals published those flights.
And for every one of those famous characters, there where dozens of others who tried with various success.

So there is an opening for a lot more characters and situations to explore.

And I have an idea how Fox could make a winning design. Smile
