How does your fursona view prostitution(and sex) in Bon Bon?

Alexi isnt against it, as it is a social norm, but he has a thing against younger girls being exploited into the trade.

he himself will not pay nor be paid for sex.

he does offer shelter to the local courtisans in his shop in order to attract customers, so he has his fair share of friends in the trade. also offers them protection from aggressive or violent clients. He is well off enough that he pays each a small swipe of coin to help him bring in more customers to the shop, a business stratagy that has benifited him as well as the local courtisans greatly.

He doesnt mind them. Would never sleep with one unless it was outside of work. he isnt a gambler, but does stop in once in a while to drop off the latest issues of his erotica. He doesnt really have an opinion of any of the girls that work there, something he has learned to keep to himself when around fan-boys and fanatic stalkers. He dreams of having Violet Berry model for him one day.

Wow ... a lot of interesting discussions in this thread, and all valid points and arguments.

Avrie has no moral problem with prostitution as long as it's the persons choice and not a situation you're forced into.

He's a little ungainly to picture himself as a gigolo, but self esteem issues aside; he would find it a threat to his professional reputation so probably not even if the opportunity and the desire were there.

In his profession, opportunities would abound so it would probably never occur to him. But if there was a special lady that truly fired his passion for whatever reason, money wouldn't be an issue.

In the same vain: keeping the girls healthy and clean is a major part of his profession. So while he might view the profession in general to be beneath him personally. He would never sit in judgment of them. It's also just in his nature to be affable with his clients and would eventually consider them all as friends.

As for Symphony's follow up questions...

To Avrie the unexpected nature and sheer spontaneity of casual sex is very exciting, so if the opportunity, and the chemistry is there ... yes, most definitely. (Yet another reason he would shy away from using the prostitutes ... too planned)

As to a serious relationship ... The way he was raised, that would be the best of all possible situations, but the last time he entertained that thought it backfired on him badly. I would picture him shying away from any real commitment at the moment. But the right woman could definitely change his mind.

The questions in order:

#1- Sex for money? Stone wouldn't consider it a possibility. His inventions, gunsmithing, and repair work see to his financial needs and with his extensive scarring he views himself as rather unattractive to the opposite sex.

#2- Paying for sex? He'd consider it, but only if the lady in question wasn't put off by his looks. Most likely he'd confine such activities to one or two 'regulars' and as has been shown doesn't mind receiving 'payment in kind' for work he does.

#3- opinion of the girls? He'd likely view them as not unlike himself- providing a service in exchange for money. He'd only object of the ladies in question didn't have a choice in the matter.

#4- Casual sex? Most likely not *completely* casual. While he has no problem with 'good fun with good friends' he prefers to get to know someone at least casually before hopping into the sack with them. (On that note miss La Rouge would likely be one of the girls he'd visit on a semi-regular basis) And while he wouldn't mind getting into a serious relationship with a woman, he doesn't see it happening any time soon, perhaps never.

((Postscript)) Stone would be extremely disappointed to find out about Mystic's feline-only preference. She'd probably notice him admiring her from afar on occasion.

1- Catherine would not sell herself for money. She sees herself above that. She is rich enough to avoid it.

2- Yes, in this town sex is a convenience. She feels that this is her right to pick the best for her consumption.

3- They are customers for her businesses or they are mere living convenience. People that sell themselves for living aren't see highly by Catherine.

4- Casual sex is the main way she enjoy it. She hopes get settled one day but it is a love thing so a completly different matter.
